Love this Betty! Thank you so very much for sharing your knowledge so generously. Whenever I begin to give up on this painting journey you seem to put up a video that truly inspires me. I absolutely love your happy colour puces, but I have to say I love this piece just as much! I love how you describe your thought process in so much detail. First comment but have watched your KZbin videos for a very long time. I love your honesty and willingness to talk about the psychological challenges (i.e. doing commissioned work). As a psychotherapist, although I'm not an art therapist per se, I often will ask my clients to sketch, 8.5x11 paper and #2 pencil without thought, simply allowing the hands to mark freely. It's the beginning of awareness for so many people of what they're feeling. Thank you again, you're a gifted teacher, amazing artist, and wonderful human 💖

I absolutely adore COLOUR...have done commissions, in subdued naturals....gave me anxiety, so i eventually stopped taking commissions, and got my spark and spontaneity back ,thankfully. !!!! It is the use of great colour which spurs me on. For 30 years i supplied scarves, silk and cotton and huge silk shawls, throughout NZ. Plus a line of paintings, quite zany and mostly abstract. But i have had about a 3 year break, i fell apart with the tyrannical government who were trying to control us due to COVID. I rebelled against control, it has not been a good time. .....And now i am full of designs and eager to start painting. I saw you do 2 small canvases which were same colours and complemented each other....they were so bright and happy and i rushed out and bought supplies.. Thankyou Betty, love Gabby M

Hello! I just discovered you through this video. This was wonderful to watch, but I also really liked your commentary. I love how you described your "intuitive art" process. I'm finding my artwork is going more in that direction, and I often find it difficult to answer viewers questions, such as, "How did you do that? What made you use those colours?, etc." My response is always "I don't know, I just did it!" So this was really nice to hear/see what this process is like. I love how the painting turned out; it worked so well in the space it was hung. I do LOVE your more colourful work, so I will definitely be following you on your socials. Thank you for producing such happy and honest creations!

I use Custom cut glass. The price is very reasonable. To cover your entire table, have 2 pieces cut for ease of use. One piece is longer than the second so I don't have a seem right in the middle.

That's smart! I might look into getting a custom piece cut for my table. Thank you, Lily!

Right now I’m doing bright colors. But I want to do a piece in neutrals. 😊

Hi Betty! Love love love! So inspirational and informative. You briefly mentioned painting palette. I recently learned to create a diy glass palette that i love. It's an old glass from a picture frame. My Nova and Basic paints move nicely. Once done and dry i simply spray with plain water and scrape away in seconds. It's a win win for me.

Love the painting and found the video so inspiring that I purchased the course. I am 58 yrs old, been a graphic designer for 30 yrs and have just applied to a Visual Arts program at my local university. Can't wait to get back to the roots of my creativity and especially to paint. Thanks for sharing your work!
