What a fun weekend! Blingo and I decided to take a step down to Intro for the weekend.... he had been lacking the confidence he had at the beginning of the year, and after some discussion with our vet, we decided to inject his hocks a few weeks ago. As to not rush him back into work and also to help to jazz up his ego, we went Intro at Shepherd Ranch horse trials this last weekend and I think it's safe to say we both had a blast. Of course this rider didn't learn the new test until the day before.... and apparently, I have a habit of including extra circles in our dressage test... nevertheless we earned a 44 which sat us in the middle of the pack of ton of awesome young riders and their ponies. Compared to the test we put down at Copper... I'd say this was a win for the two of us, he was relaxed and focused on his job, could he have been more relaxed, of course.... but when all he wants to do is gallop through the field we are in the middle off.... I'd say he was a saint.
