Barker has such an unothodox style. Its hard to pinpoint his rhythms and such until you actually get it down. It is almost natural after that.. as contradictory as that was lol

That is absolutely beautiful, probably just as good if not better than Travis. I'm just a lowly guitarist so please excuse this criticism if you feel I'm out of place: I think the upside-down china cymbal ( I think that's what it is, the one on the far left of screen?), it sounds great during the chorus, but it doesn't suit the verse. Perhaps another crash would be better suited? Ps That crash-ride (or is it just a ride?) at the front of the screen (2nd from left) sounds sooooo sweet.

New here. Recording question. Those toms sound amazing. What mics are you using? Any outboard like a gate, eq etc? Software VST? Take me to school. I struggle getting great Tom sounds. Currently I’m running 98AMP’s into isotope gate, and eq. My kit is one of those Bisons with NGU hoops …. Remos. So it’s not the kit. The source drums sound great. Recorded though? Not so much.

The sound is off sync from the video for me. And you get off timmed a liiiiiitle bit in some parts. Were you playing to metronome? Over all i think you've understood Barkers technique the most out of all the cover videos - you hit the idea of the fills and little things. and got a great recording - good job.
