There's a very clear "We miss Tom" undertone here. They shouldn't give up Matt, but they should add Tom back in. To me, Matt and Mark sound too much like to be doing the call and return. But imagine Tom and Matt's voice on some songs and Tom and Mark's voice on others? Also it would be awesome to hear them with 2 guitars.

I know everyone can't stop talking about it since last January, but I think it would awesome of Tom was with them again. Even with Matt still in, the four of them could be badass. Matt is an amazing rhythm guitarist and singer, and should keep playing and singing his parts on the new songs.Tom is a great lead guitarist, has a unique voice, and adds a different color to everything.

I second that. Only if Tom put more effort into blink, and same the songs in a "blink" way that he used to, rather than the "AVA" voice, and I know there's a difference because when I sing AVA, I don't have to put near as much power, or enthusiasm into the lyrics to catch the sound. Tom can still sing in a "blinkish" way. He's done it a couple of times in like 2013.

California is definitely their best album since self titled, and I'm excited to see how they use Matt's lyricism and voice with future releases.
