What is sick about these guitar parts? This is really some of the most basic stuff you can possibly play on the guitar. Don't get me wrong, I love blink very much, but the guitar compositions in a lot of songs especially in the really old songs is pretty lame. And on top Tom's skills we're pretty horrible (still are?) ... I still love them ☺️

@@wide_awake most of the time I would say: yes. Maybe I need an example. Let's say you play the chords C, G, F in a basic strumming pattern. That could sound really really well (all the small things) , but musically it is just basic and I don't think someone who has a slight knowledge of music would use the word "sick". Same with these very basic licks Tom used to play on their first albums. If you call that sick, than almost every blink song is sick.

Do you think the palm muted parts were played with two separate guitar takes ? (1 for the palm mute, and 1 for the fretted notes?) The album sounds to clean and perfect to have been done in one take, as well as slight differences in volume
