Hey i know this is 10 months old but I just wanted to let you know that in my experience, this goes away with time. It’s perfectly normal for that to happen, but im sorry that youre going through it. But now is the time to find new bands and songs that you like, and when you feel you’re ready this music will always be waiting for you in the future. I wasn’t able to listen to Justin Timberlake for a long time after a breakup, but during that time I found some new bands that I liked, and one day I found myself listening to a JT song again and I hadnt thought about her at all. Just a quick mention of how much Skiba has really began starting to feel more free to move around . He definitely brings a darker tone 2 Blink, So if that’s his strong suit then they need 2 capitalize on that by fostering this fact & followed by letting him loose. Songs like “Black Rain” & “ remember to forget me” / “Heaven” or titles like “Darkside” “ pin the grenade” are examples of them starting to do just that. Removing any pressure from expectations so Skiba can be Skiba. Not super Blink 182 conformed Skiba , While getting back to the basics of originality by dumping their producer/producers, whom actually had done a lot of the co-writing on almost the entire album. Mark needs to let go of the ego and stop caring sooo much about what Hollywoods cool kids have to say and stop being super closed off & super basic & predictable in his lyrics /song writing. Otherwise all this Botox will ultimately make it to the soul & ultimately damn Blink 182. Along with society.

I agree Nico! This song hit me hard. I got the highschool lonely feeling and Im 26. I looked it up, idk if its true but on some emo shit its the only track on nine credited to only Matt, Mark & Travis. My second personal favorite its black rain and its the 3 of them + feldman who I think really helps them get out of their head. These two songs have some honesty at a level I can relate , even the overall experimental Sound of the récord fits them and serves the songs. Great record

I would say give skiba more time it's hard to go from one band who does things and writes music one way to another band who probably has a different chemistry and way of writing music as he gets more comfortable in the band and they learn each other's strengths their music will get better this is a great start

Blink and all the other acts were great. afterwards, I drive us back to my apartment. I remember we're walking from my little reserved parking stall to where she had parked her car. she mentions she was glad I convinced her to go. we stop a few feet from her car, and then we kiss and say goodbye. when I pulled away and glanced at her, man, she had this look of pure sadness/remorse ("the last time I saw her she was standing on the edge of a good time, been a long time, tell me how could I forget?") ahh, good times. thanks Blink.

I've heard two interpretations of this, I believe Mark said it was about a break up and the guy didn't want to let her go. Another says it's about a guy who's girlfriend went missing and he won't forget her.

Christian Nilsen as long as alkaline trio stays a thing I’m very ok with this merger :) but personally I’ve always preferred the trio

Well, I'll always like the Blink-182 with Tom better, but they keep on rocking for sure!

I just figured out this is the only song on the album that had no outside writers, everyone in the band wrote this and no one else. No wonder it's the best track. God They need to realize they dont need other people to write for them.

This really isn’t all that Nostalgic. Sounds nothing like their past material. If anything, this is more pop.

Exedess Sounds like it’s from the 2000’s, and they don’t want it to all sound the same, go away if you don’t like

It still blows my mind the drummer is the most famous band member and Tom DeLonge quit the band to chase aliens and UFOs full time... Both 100% true

Yeah and Tom’s last record was better then California and Nine. And so far his two singles for his new record are pretty much better then anything off this record, sadly.

Bring back emo in 2021! Seems we could use that outlet like back in the mid 2000’s. Silverstein, Hawthorne Heights, the self titled Blink album style, late AFI, My Chemical Romance, “Under the Cork Tree” Fall Out Boy.... the list can go on, we need a tour!

I don't want Untitled back. Tom's WAYYYYYYY too whiny on that. Sounds like a little bitch when he's singing.

Please say I’m not the only one stuck in the 2000’s? I still follow 2000’s trends and only watch 2000’s movies, I literally know nothing about 2020 😂

Now they, getting it together like old blink 182 like untitled album! With or without Tom and wanting his spaceship sounds and effects with music. Tom and mark together made blink and Travis a bonus and blink never be the same with Tom gone. But I live Matt skiba and he isn’t trying so, hard to fill Tom delonge shoes and making his own paving way. It sounds amazing either way! I love old and new blink. Now if Travis left or mark? It would be different and always wish Tom would stay, maybe they will be a 4 man man or Tom will come back or maybe just stay with the future of things. I still love the sound, cause going make too it and not the DJ shit ! Lmao 😂 even though it is cool, I’m glad sticking to what blink is for themselves and the fans.
