After being violently pushed from a window, Mary wakes up in the hospital, almost completely paralyzed. Trapped inside the prison of her own body, Mary’s only way to communicate is by blinking her eyes. She tries to warn the nurse that a sinister, inhuman force is trying to kill her. But when strange things begin happening around her, she realizes it may be too late to stop it.
Blink is the first short film to come out of Screen Gems (Sony Pictures’ genre label) and Ground Control’s horror film lab “Scream Gems.” “Scream Gems” focuses on the development and production of horror genre proof-of-concepts and aims to collaborate with up-and-coming filmmakers to produce horror shorts with the primary goal of developing new, original content into feature films.

Great short film. The backstory of the girl and the creature would be interesting in a feature. Love to see full-length features from these creators. Plus, it is great to see big studios encouraging new talent like this where people can give feedback before giving them their first movie.

I feel like this is following the foot steps of "Lights Out" and "MaMa" which released shorts before becoming a feature film. This concept would definitely work on the big screen and hope we can eventually see an expanded story of this short film 🤞

I mean Lights Out was never meant to be a feature film before it was made into one, and it really never should've been. It worked as a short, but shorts just aren't meant to be adapted into films, and there's a reason there are way more good indie shorts than good horror movies, because it's just harder to maintain a concept like this through a whole movie

Watch this 4 times already and I still think of such a scenario if your a nurse and you asked those questions. The fear I would have would be real but I am unsure if I would be willing to leave her alone paralyzed in the dark. Especially when she confirmed that something supernatural was trying to kill her. The story was very well put together and it was easy to follow. The suspense was timed right and the sound effects were on spot creepy and nightmarish. This could have easily been made into a full length movie based on how well the story played out. I give this movie 5 stars for being a genuine horror story that uses your imagination to fill in the story. Well Done!

Sony, if this was a test to see if this concept could work, then yes it can work.. consider making a full length movie of this also of course it should have a good story and direction to work as well.

Some things are much better as short movies though, and I think this is. It leave you wanting more, but is also just right. Sometimes stretching it out into a full length movie just ruin something.

This was absolutely terrifying! I almost peed my pants! I screamed so loud my husband thought I was being killed! Excellent short, very very intense! Great storyline, but not for the easily terrified! Not sure if I can handle more than 6 minutes! Definitely a must see for horror fans!

amazing job. Its so rare to find so much story and creativity in only 6 minutes. I would absolutely watch a full length film of this where it could go into the creators origin story, why its going after Sophie and its connection to her. But great job with the suspense and horror aspect of feeling trapped and hopeless with the main character, keep the scares coming!

I don't get it. Spoilers: So this creature (Who was maybe someone she knew) tried to push her out the window to kill her, when it can far more easily kill her with it's hands? I thought it tried to cover it's tracks, but then it killed, for no reason, the nurse. So it doesn't care to leave traces of murder.... Than why the theatrics?! This makes no sense.

The demon thing should've thrown the nurse through the window. It should be a defenestration demon. Without that consistency, there's no logic to its obsessive efforts against Mary. It also shouldn't end with the cliché of the baddy rushing at the camera, especially when the CGI doesn't hold up to close scrutiny. Also it's too sad. Stop it.
