Nate, good review. We like Eufy too. We currently have a Keen outdoor camera with sim card for direct cell tower connection. Problem is, for night vision I need a clear view with no near obstacles like twigs from a tree.

@iglapsu88 have you seen Eufy's starlight cam? kzbin.info/www/bejne/onK1lpJsr9yMmZI it has great night vision without the need for IR or LED (but it does have both if desired).

Thanks Amazon for not putting any restrictions on how to use their cameras. Eero wifi is pretty good, I got a eero puck with frontier FiOS. Too bad the nice system setup they have going for eero didn't follow over to their blink devices. Eero does have a boatload of subscription options of course. I was considering blink but forget that now considering everything seems to be behind pay walls.

A lot of blink things are not behind a paywall, you can use them as cameras, do live view and local storage. But several nice to have features are only there with a subscription.

@NaterTater I have two TP-Link tapo cameras, the hub takes a micro-sd. The hub allows for 64 mixed devices. It can detect people, pets, motion, offers live view, color night, a light, alarm, and two way conversation works. Just the range seems to be not so great going thru cinder block walls. Battery life seems ok. Picture quality off the 2k doesn't look 2k to me. They offer web storage but no other paid subscriptions. Im old school and don't like subscription services. They make me ill.

2 modules and 2 to 4 cameras at 1080p 30fps is still better than one 4k camera ( maybe < 30fps) performance wise - note that 4k recording gets hotter and may have problems in hot weather
