U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken has wrapped up his Middle East trip without an announcement of a cease-fire or hostage deal between Israel and Hamas. VOA’s Senior Diplomatic Correspondent Cindy Saine reports.

@afanporsaber This conflict didn't start with Hamas, nor would ending Hamas stop this. Once you see it you can't unsee. Israel is engaging in ethnic cleansing and genocide as colonial settlers have always done. Colonized people are fighting back as they always do. It's weird how Israel's consistent violation of international law is just ignored as if this aggression has nothing to do with anything. As if over 70 years of illegal occupation and settlements would have nothing to do with creating this mess. Why this double standard when it comes to Israel? Hopefully, this is finally coming to an end, and Israel will begin to be held accountable for their crimes, and the apartheid will end.
