I had a dream about a musical based on the episode of Pokemon where Ash considers making Pikachu evolve into Raichu using the thunderstone. I woke up and wrote this song.

At first, I thought it was a sad song about a trainer being forced to give up their Pikachu (or a reference to the episode where Ash thought of giving up Pikachu), but then I hear "hello Raichu" and I laugh :P

We're the Pikachu, and Ash/trainer symbolizes our childhood. That's why Ash Ketchum remains 10 yrs old in every season. So the song is basically sacrificing our childhood in order for us to grow up.

This song just.. Aaaaagggggggggghhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!! I love it, BUT ITS SO DARN SAD. To me this song is more then just saying goodbye to Pikacu. I'm just about to enter my teen years (NOOooooo) and this song just made that so real. I'm letting go of my childhood. Soon I won't be a kid. I'll be a teen. A small adult with the pressures of life about to be thrown on them. I'm gonna be honest. I'm really scared. Soon I'll be Raichu. Good bye Pikacu.
