If you have one available, use a wastebasket. There's no shame in it, and you can clean it in the morning. I had to resort to that for four years because of an old man in the boarding house I lived in. One bathroom for four adult renters, and the old guy would tie up the bathroom for 45 minutes every time he went in there---which was a LOT! I finally lined my wastebasket with loads of paper towels, and that's what I used when I couldn't hold my urine until he got out of there (never used it for number 2. That would have been my undoing). Learned to do that from a nurse I worked with; her very young teen daughter was scared to step outside her bedroom at night to use the bathroom, so Mom told her to line a wastebasket with paper towels and use it at night.

MyPoint ofView I’m a retired pelvic physical therapist. You can contact the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) to find a pelvic therapist in your area that can help you control your bladder. Ci admire and respect Yasuko Kawamura. I love the advice she gives. But her videos are short and cannot addresses all the aspects of stress or urge urinary incontinence. Best of luck.

What she was saying was that the pressure on the bladder could kill a person, so this is how to alleviate the pressure temporarily, such as during a meeting. Personally, there is no meeting that warrants my attention enough to make myself hurt like that.

I'm sure this is very helpful for everyone, but I couldn't help think how helpful it is for women who've had children or one who's pregnant, as that's when the urge to pee begins to be more urgent faster & with more urgency! This should be taught in all prenatal classes! Always love your videos! P.S. At one point you referred to needing to pee as having the urge to peepee. Um, many, many parents refer to a boy's penis as a peepee! Lol

Pumpkin seeds (the green kind without the white shells) if you eat 1 or 2 tablespoons per day, soon the panic urge will stop. Takes only a few weeks.

Sometimes I have difficulty starting urination - it has happened to me a number of times when on long flights, or during times of stress. I think maybe my bladder & pelvic muscles clench up when required to perform quickly & efficiently 😜 Are there any points that would help in that situation? Sounds like my childhood, but that was 65 years ago. That is, we only had an outhouse---it's all anyone in our part of the county had---until Dad built an indoor bathroom because Mom said she wasn't going to try to toilet train my three baby siblings in an outhouse. I was five years old before I ever knew what an indoor bathroom was!
