I brush my hair like this every day, mornings and evenings. Without the oil though. I’ll add that as soon as I can find some. Then I also brush from left over the head and then right over the head before I brush it the way I want. I never have bad hair days and my hair is thick and shiny. It’s definitely meditative to my being❤️

Well said! I totally agree that it’s meditative 🧘♀️Thank you for sharing 💕

And what about grey hair?? Does this technique reverse grey hair?

I have curly hair. My scalp just tried to suck my hair back into it while I was watching this.😊

You are a doll with a great, enthusiastic personality. I will learn a lot from you. Now off to do my 100 reverse strokes. My mother used to do 100 strokes with a boar- brisle brush to distribute the oil along the hair.

To all curly-haired folks: I have wavy blond hair. After doing this my hair volume also triples! 😂 I have to tie it for 10 min. to reduce the volume to a nice level😊 So for curly hair you may have to use more oil or cream after brushing 🤔

My father used to do this to us every night (without the camelia oil) before going to bed and he knew was good. I still do it, I'm going to add the oil. Thank you 🌼

I’d love to know if there is anything similar for us curly haired gals. I don’t brush my hair aside from using a wide tooth comb on wet hair after washing. Thank you!

Very cool! Your hair really does look softer and shinier after the brushing! I must try this. Thanks again Yasuko for another great video.

Curly hair just gets more frizzy so we never brush our dry hair. So maybe this is good for us only if not going to be seen by others or before washing our hair.

Hi Yasuko - Thank you for this wonderful suggestion. I will try with the the products you recommend. May I ask please what do Japanese women do to enhance eyelashes ...do you simply use a mascara, and, if so, which one do you prefer - I am an older woman and just want lovely natural lashes. Thank you again, I am a new subscriber and will look closely at your other posts.

Many thanks. I will look for a brush made with bamboo bristles. I used to brush my hair a lot and it relieved tension in my neck and migraines too. You have inspired me to start again. 💖

In my childhood in Iceland way back, most of the old ladies had long hair. During the day they kept them in braids, not sure how their hair was kept during sleeping. But I know that every morning they would brush their hair with 200 strokes, they probably had done that all their lives. They had super-healthy hair for their age, so I think hair brushing works.

I'm going to try this with coconut oil since that's what's local. I already have a padded wooden "bristle" brush that my stylist recommended for long hair years ago.

I would probably spread out the brushings throughout the day, to keep bringing that nourishment to the scalp. Maybe not 100 strokes every time

Mam is it effective in giving back our black colour on the front side of hair? In the early 30's? Or is it only for further prevention of grey hair?

Hi Yasuko, Thanks for all your helpful information. Is it possible for some kinds of tightness in the neck and/or shoulder to cause poor circulation on one hand? My Right hand gets much colder than my left hand in the winter and I am trying to figure out what could be a possible cause, I was told by a PT I went to that it was not thoracic outlet syndrome.
