@@CH324_ I went back and forth between all the reviews and info of each product. I was going to get 1.0 because I liked the blue/green color scheme over the RGB, I don't find the red on the 2.0 to be very "realistic" looking i guess. But after seeing how you can customize the colors, blue/green (ocean) being one of the settings, I was sold. May as well have all the color options vs just one! That and the fact that it was 28$ off on Amazon right now really got me. You can choose between green or blue stars as well with the 2.0. Bascially, the many more customizable app options and color schemes sold me! I am also a sucker for "upgraded" versions of things 😂 happy choosing!😁🌟

I literally just ordered this about a half hour ago on Amazon. It’s on sale right now for $41 bucks. I ordered it for my 13 year old niece as her birthday is coming up. Now I want to order another one for myself lol. I think I’d like more if it had music to go with it. But it’s still great. My only concern is that she’s a “troubled teen”. Size comparison they are the same units. I think the light has more of a density with the 2.0 so it may appear like less coverage, More coverage is added by the distance from the ceiling/wall.

I just got mine for Xmas and I do not see stars at all. They aren't working. I get the color mass in the middle but not the little stars. In the app, I just selected the stars mode and all I see is a mass of undefined color. I guess I have a bad unit. I will return it and perhaps get something else. Disappointed but not surprised. I always expect these cheap chinese plastic things to have issues and ... this is why.

For the same $69 price tag I would recommend you get the 2.0 since it offers RGB possibilites This doesn’t make the 1.0 bad but you will only have one option of color for the clouds I just bought one, didn’t have it for a month before this was released and now I find it a bummer

I think the 2.0 is more of an experience. If you want the water space vibe then do the 1st Generation Blue Skylight.

I would say the brightness stays the same. Bliss really has a great uniform light.

@@jnorten BlissLights coverage varies depending on how close the light is to the projection surface. The closer the light is, the denser/smaller the star cluster will appear. As you increase the distance between the projector and the surface, the effect will expand. In general, BlissLights cover roughly 30 x 30 feet from 10 feet away.

@@Vera26667 I ended up buying the 1 and 2 so I had both. I would say if you have all three of the colors of the nebula lit on the 2 it is a similar total coverage but indeed for each of the 3 colors you subtract, you lose that nebula space. Advantages to both. If you only want blue go for the original. If you want more colors and options and don’t mind it’s sometimes a trade off for coverage space, get the 2. I kept the 2 as I like the extra options and the ability to control with app is cool.

Not smart, you have to download the app. It does not sync to music, you control it. And yes with all apps it will ask for permissions. Great product and I love it!

Download the app and connect with Bluetooth or use simple button controls that make it easy to cycle through light effects, adjust brightness, or start/stop the rotating motion. The Bluetooth is only for control of the app on your smartphone.
