Literally when Vander & Vi embraced and she said "He's your dad too." - with the lyrics screaming in the background "What have they done to us?" - SKY, the way I was sobbing. I cried so hard, I was shaking and struggling to breathe between teary gasps. This scene BROKE ME.

yep - I couldn't handle it. The only joyful thing that happened in the entire series and I couldn't take it.

I love that this is the second time Jayce has said, "I can't let you leave", but he says it with such a resigned coldness that you immediately know that he actually means it this time.

It's subtle compared to the rest of this epsiode, but I love Caitlyn's little character arc She starts off furious, like "This scientist is the worst kind of monster Zaun has to offer, and there is just no end to those, it seems." But then instead of just accepting that assumption as truth, she goes back to her detective roots and discovers, "Oh wait, this guy is actually a Piltovan who is unleashing poison and monsters on the innocent citizens of the undercity, and even the drug I spent all of act 1 trying to eliminate was something he forced on Zaun, not something they created themselves." Then, "He is doing all of that out of love for a deceased family member," which leads her to ask, "If I continue down the path I'm on... is this who I'm going to become?" Not to mention, she also learns Ambessa has been lying to her and making secret deals with scientists behind her back, including someone as terrible as Singed without any guilt or remorse

Also very satisfying to me that the prison warden who chuckles about beating Vi in season 1 eventually ends up getting ripped to pieces by her dad for completely unrelated reasons.

I always got the impression that Vander, Silco, and Felicia (mom) grew up together -- they were found family (like Milo and Clagger, to Vi/Powder)

I'm really glad they started with the story of Piltover and Zaun, because that's kind of the more digestible region for people that are new to Runaterra lore, because after this show, the next ones they release are gonna get crazy. Runaterra's stories are so good, I expect Noxus to be next, but i wouldn't mind if we went toTargon.

I love the flashback scene so much, but - and this is very much a me thing as I've had numerous discussions with people who've tried to argue to the contrary - but personally the lack of any unambiguous acknowledgement in Season 1 that Silco know's that Vi and Powder are Felicia's children and yet is still prepared to have them 'disappeared', really bothers me. I just hope there's something in Act 3 that addresses it, but I fear there won't be.

I KNOW. I keep thinking how Silco only had room for Jinx while Vander loved them both. I don’t think that we will get more on that as he’s not alive to have that flashback. Maybe we’ll get more insight from Vander?

@@SkyMcSparkle I just want to change one line in Ep3 and it would fix the my issues that the flashback scene introduces. When Silco finds Powder with Vander's body and says 'Hello little girl' if he instead said 'Hello young Powder' and still tightened his grip on his knife. It would show he knew who Powder was and by extension Vi, that he was prepared to kill them, (the children of his old friend that - by the implication in Vander's letter - he indirectly got killed in the first place) just to forward his dream of an independent Zaun.
