You've never played an Anno game before have you lol :D (I can tell when you start talking about congestion on the roads - entirely not a thing in Anno) :P I wouldn't so much call Anno a "City Building game" like SimCity or Cities Skylines is, but rather a "City planning" game. You have more to do in terms of planning the layout, and managing the resources vs. maintenance costs than you do actually building a city with all its components. In fact the only city building you really do is roads and houses, that's it. Still, great game! I'm about 12 hours in so far and just got my Moon base started, playing on hard mode so it's really tough getting my Temperate zone to pump out enough funds to run my Arctic AND Moon colonies. It's a lot of fun though, and a beautiful looking game :)

What I don't like in this type of games, is that you can only build in a grid pattern. They just don't let you rotate a building a certain degree or the road in a certain way.

Fun fact reason we haven't colonized the moon is not because it is to hard to do or we don't have the technology it is because you would have to move to the dark side of the moon every time you wanted to sleep because the moon is perfectly orbiting and all so that the same side shows all the time

The designers of this game did a seriously awesome job. Too bad the combat system is a bit soso(even for this kind of game), and so is the city building (cannot build diagonal roads/ parks have no real effect .... ). But well, cannot ask for everything. It still is very beautiful to look at and the management part can be very challenging at times
