hey blitz i think its really cool that your playing this game and i think your an awesome youtuber. ! huge piece of advice is when laying down pipe make them into shorter pieces so when upgrading you can upgrade multiple ones at once and it can help you out in the long run. Also you should use tanks more often and look for a company that is selling for $.70 or more. Anything less you should store the oil for later. Im not trying to tell you how to pay the game just giving you some advice sincerely, Dan

maybe i'd use the full $500 scanner once or twice in the land that hasnt been touched yet, but after that i would use more smaller scans because as that great mayor tip said "you dont need your hose to reach the bottom to get all the oil" so you dont need to see the whole pocket

well, I agree when you're in the very start unless you're playing in a "go big or go home" style like I do C: However, especially in the desert and plains (third level, not first), the scanner is op as hell for everything from oil to natural gas to even finding the diamond! :)
