There 100% is a reason for the communications screen! It’s how you get the story in the game. The original leads to things that you never would have seen if you didn’t read it… and it was so awesome and beautiful! If you don’t know what significance the word “warden” has in this game I HIGHLY recommend playing again with that screen!!

I'm not sure there's a huge amount of story IN the game as much as there is story "around" the game. Like you uncover the various "why"s of certain things, but that doesn't necessarily add to the experience of you trying to terraform the planet. It's fun and I find it actually really good at where it's at. It's not center stage and it's pretty much that kind of intermediate, 5-minute puzzle LORE for someone like MatPat in his spare time, but it's something to go find for those who want to go seek it. It doesn't bar you from turning barren wastelands into thriving ecosystems, but it does give context to why there's several crashed ships and a few underground bunkers spread across the original map. I'm sure it's the same here in the DLC. Basically what I'm getting at is it's kind of on the same level as Goat Simulator 3 in terms of "story/lore". You can find it if you go looking for it, but you can also ignore it and still complete the game and not really lose anything from it.

you can use ctrl to rotate items through 90 degrees as well as placing multiple without returning to the build menu and moving multiple of the same resource into storage. keep some bauxite when you find it as you are going to need it for the construction of the t2 crusher.

Tip: When upgrading something you're wearing, you can do so without taking it off. It'll just straight up upgrade and put it in the equipment slot automatically. No inventory explosion when upgrading the backpack anymore. :P

Just remember you can make a room with a door, get air, then deconstruct, and leapfrog across the map!

The wind turbines are confusing: they produce constant power at all times, regardless of wind. They stop spinning when you don't have enough power to meet demand. So the lack of spinning is a visual indicator of insufficient power, not a sign of low wind.

Use the platform for your heaters instead of bringing it inside the base. Also, use platforms underneath your base.

You should start demolishing the blue crates so that you can get an iron from it, also don’t be so scared to die, it fully replenishes you and free iron

IIRC dying is only free iron if you save, exit and reload the game betwen dying and picking up the crate

Wasnt sure if you were trolling by not upgrading your pack and gear for the longest time. Glad to see you playing the DLC! Hope to see more! Spoiler... The statues do play a role...but you've got a while b4 you reach that point.

You do not need to unequip back pack or oxygen or most items to upgrade them. Edit - commented to soon I see.

Played through the Humble DLC this weekend, but I got no message or anythign when I hit the 5 TTi at the end. No ending. Seems to be a bug though as others mentioned getting something.
