They're all interesting based on character rosters. Lego Avengers largely based on the MCU with a little bit of character designs from the comics, Marvel 2 the same but more variants of well known characters, and obviously Marvel 1 had the Fantastic 4 and X-Men.

Marvel 2 didn’t feel like the same universe as 1 because 1 was half MCU based (it’s hinted the chitari invasion happened in that universe) whereas 2 went almost fully towards the comic book version of the avengers (cause characters like wasp, giant man, and captain marvel weren’t actually on the avengers team in the MCU)

Marvel 1 has a level of charm that has been missed with Avengers and Marvel 2 the original storyline and non MCU characterisation was unique and standalone on its own with the animated shows and tv of that 2012 era

actually the characters that are represented in the MCU at the time have those appearances, and they were playable at a certain way alongside the non-MCU characters: LEVEL 1: Has Iron Man and Hulk teaming up with Spiderman LEVEL 2: Has Captain America teaming up with Spiderman and Mr Fantastic LEVEL 3: Has Hawkeye and Black Widow teaming up with Spiderman LEVEL 4: Has Iron Man and Hulk teaming up with Wolverine LEVEL 5: The first special case, because it's only between Iron Man and Captain America LEVEL 6: Has Hawkeye and Black Widow teaming up with The Human Torch LEVEL 7: Has Thor teaming up with Wolverine and The Human Torch LEVEL 8: Another special case where the only playable characters are the X-Men LEVEL 9: The third special case, which focuses more in The Fantastic Four, although we have Nick Fury with them LEVEL 10: Has Iron Man and Thor teaming up with Spiderman and Jean Grey LEVEL 11: Has Hulk teaming up with Wolverine and Mr Fantastic LEVEL 12: Has Captain America teaming up with The Thing and Storm LEVEL 13: The same group of LEVEL 10 but without Jean Grey LEVEL 14: The same group of LEVEL 12 but with Spiderman being added LEVEL 15: The fourth and final special case, because, as the final battle, it has the mayority of the heroes and villains of these factions, MCU, Spiderman, X-Men and The Fantastic Four, teaming up against the final boss

Lego Marvel 1 is an entire homage to the 60s era comic books from Stan Lee and Jack Kirby from start to finish, its the best out of the 3 games because it has that pure retro original marvel comic book feel.

LMSH1 is not only one of the best Lego games, it's one of the best Marvel games in general. The roster alone, unspoiled by the MCU or film studio red tape, makes it the best of the bunch by far. Tons of characters, from the massively popular to the niche as hell, up to and including the X-Men and the Fantastic Four? It doesn't get any better than that.

@@thecadester4360 I think you are confusing them, the first game implies through spoken dialogue that the events of the avengers movie happens in that universe not to mention is the movie outfits and team set up for the avengers characters, the second game may reference the movies on occasion however the avengers team set up and most of the outfits (aside from guardians, spider man, and Thor) are comic book based

I think the first one is over all better mainly because of the fact in the first one you can roam around without having to complete the whole game first which was a pain to do like what if I just want to play. 2 is really good as well considering it had actual voice actors and everything which is really nice because you don’t get that in many games or at all really, avengers was an alright game it was practically 1 and 2 but with actual movie lines it was pretty interesting thought and I like it for what it was

I remember playing a sort of hide and go seek game in Lego marvel superheroes 1 with my pal in freshman year i think. We'd take turns being antman and hulk buster and once we tracked eachother down we'd chase eachother to try and blow the other up. I was amazed by the size and variety of the game. There were so many things it taught me about and introduced me to in the marvel comics and films universe.

This is easily a top 3 Lego video game. Ny top three are Skywalker Saga, LMS1, and DC super villains. I haven't played many Lego games but these have hundreds of characters to collect and amazing open world designs. Your top three might be different but that's better than ok because we all love different things.

@@coopercollingburn5242 Being an Iron Man fan I love Avengers. It t me has more replayability. You can complete all the side quests and replay them again if you want. I did however mod the game so all of iron Man's suits were usable from the start. You can also just go around New York stopping a decent amount of crime, where as Marvel 1 I don't think did that, and Marvel 2 does have that, but It's stupid that they removed Iron Man having all those suits and being able to switch them to what you needed. I hope we get a Lego Avengers 2 that will keep getting new content. Especially as the Globe mission select was pretty cool of a thing.

Lego Marvel's Avengers PERFECTED the Hub World with individual zones you can visit. I honestly dislike how Superheroes 2 just merged all the worlds together in one big hub world, that feels random, too large, and almost a fever dream. I liked being able to travel to individual worlds and hubs in Avengers. The way the did it in that game was perfect.

Personal Favorite: Lego Marvel Super Heroes (1) had an amazing use of the characters and their superpowers, plus personally I have great nostalgia while thinking about it. Personal (close) second: Lego Marvel Avengers lost some of the great characters we had in LMSH(1) but at the same time added even better(!) characters with fun new features like Ant-Man and Fin Fang Foom with the size changing abilities, or Iron Man with the new suits and suit changing screen and animations. Personal least :( favorite: Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2, at least for me, was kind of a disappointment. it had much more characters, but less were memorable. The map change was nice as a concept but I would still like to play inside New York City. Despite all of the points I have mentioned above, I still emjoyed playing this game and even played it again a couple of times. Thank you for reading, have a nice day

Lego marvel superheroes 2: I absolutely love the graphics and the open world, always unique and fun, especially love how there’s different filters for different places. Some missions are amazing like basically all of the ones including spider man. Oh yeah love how you could choose what part of the story you could do at a time not just being restricted. Main complaint is where is the consistency from the 1st one and Hawkeye and black widow only being quest characters Lego marvel avengers: I mean I absolutely love the films and have no interest in the comics so this was a bonus for me. I actually really do like how the voices were from the films. Another great part is the over world, there being lots of cool areas you could travel to. Lego marvel superheroes: I played it recently and it wasn’t too great in my eyes. While yes there were some memorable missions like the X men one, most of the ones in space, the dinosaur island and obviously galactus. Love how it basically confirmed every Lego game would be voice acted by being the second one they used proper voice lines not from the movies (unlike LLOTR). However now for my dislikes about it. I feel like the overworld is pretty boring except for the helicarrier(is that how it’s spelled) as I feel like Lego marvel superheroes did it kinda better? Another thing I do not like is the flight while yes I did start on console I’ve moved to my Nintendo switch and the flying is torture for this being my second Lego game on the switch. The Thor DLC is useless as there’s like ONE good character, other dlc was great tho. In conclusion I will be adding to this list after I’ve replayed both LMS2 and LMA and the list might change but for now this is how I stand. Also absolutely love how you both criticise and say how good the games are with valid reasons. Great ranking to you!

Superheroes 1 is the best for sure. Every aspect of it is peak. I really enjoyed Avengers when I was younger. Even though it wasn’t as good as superheroes 1, I really liked, it was like playing through the movies, with the original lines, cool attention to details. Loved it. And superheroes 2 is the worst. I mean it’s a good game but out of these 3 it’s just… I don’t know, I didn’t like, so many cool ideas, so many cool animations, ideas, but the voice acting and script was horrendous, I didn’t like the mission designs… so for me it’s superheroes 1, Avengers close second and Marvel superheroes 2

Personally I would've said that lego Marvels Avengers was the best game, most likely because I prefer lego that's based on films rather than comics. I'd then say that lego Marvels Superheroes is second, it was an absolutely fabulous game and I loved it. Then I would say that lego Marvels Superheroes 2 was the worst, I think it's ultimately because the story and setting just isn't really believable to me and it had a lot of comic book elements to it and characters

I actually really enjoyed the captain America supersoldier game quite a bit. Marvel's answer to batman Arkham with a few new ideas. If I recall right you could even grab German soldiers from behind and use their weapons to shoot their friends. I was impressed with it. Bit biased I suppose though bc I love Captain America so much.

People should know about the nasty freezes that happen when you try to create and use a characte in the first game. My PS3 has only frozen 3 times since I bought it. Twice was with the first LEGO MARVEL SUPER HEROES. I think this part of the game is broken. After the second freeze I sold it. I was scared that it would permanently damage my console. Part 2 had the Hulk super jumps which I really enjoyed.

Lego Marvel 1 is unmatched…. I can’t believe how fun that game was. I still have every character (except one that I just couldn’t get) including Stan Lee and Deadpool. Over 20 billion coins.

The hub world for Lego marvel superheroes didn't do all that much for me given it felt so empty.

I really hated the over levelization of Lego Marvel avengers. It felt like you had a level for EVERYTHING even when ther was no point having a level in something that didn’t need one

Am i the only one who doesn't like the flight controls in the more recent Lego games? If you move the right stick up or down, you go up or down. It feels good if you're in the hub world flying at full speed, but it just feels wrong in any other context. Especially if you're just trying to fly in one spot and look around.

Superheroes 1 is the absolute best by far, I am very surprised to hear people say they liked superheroes 2 better than avengers tho (cause superheroes 2 was terrible in a lot of ways)
