I'm sure your guys appreciate that approach to doing the maintenace and prep for upcoming work. I keep a notepad of all my filters for each vehicle, tractor and yard equiptment etc. Saves the headache of not getting the right one. Been there too often relying on the store to do their job reading a screen.

You always have to stay one step ahead of the servicing and maintenance period. Last minute stuff ends up costing more, if not losing a client/ job. Promptness gives a good impression. And that pays the bills.

How many pieces of equipment do you have for snow that you park in the field/on site? I have seen videos of your storage unit but are you able to bring your equipment back to the shop after every snow fall, wash it down, do maintenance on it then take it back to the job site?

Stan you should treat all your diesel with Stanadyne performance formula fuel additive Im in upstate ny where temps routinely are 15 to 20 below at night we run strait #2 diesel fuel (not winter blend) and the Stanadyne performance additive I have had no jelling or any winter related problems in 20 plus years also it improves fuel economy by 3MPG on average and improves fuel lubricity by 50% and it is emission friendly yes it is expensive but I have not had to do injectors or rebuild fuel pumps I don't have any equipment new enough to have emissions your vids are awesome thanks for all you do

Same, we’re in Buffalo and run additive all winter long

Stan maintenance is key obviously. All full service should be done before snow season starts. Should have list of all snow equipment white board what pusher and services needed. I know you leased the big loader and ordered a special pusher but it's not there so no good to you. Zach fix with chains is a disaster waiting to happen bend or break something expensive. I personally would of had a fabricator weld some tie down points or make plate so that pusher could always be attached to a large loader. Always good to have spare in waiting. Snow is your big $ maker no good if sitting ready to go and breaks first 5 minutes into a snow event. There's a reason why arctic has new equipment all the time rotates on regular basis. Downtime is no money time and tons of aggravation

Saying you wouldn’t feel a frozen curb in that loader is a joke, you can have a plow, bucket or pusher going down the road leaning hard on the curb and not rip it up. Maybe not come straight on at it at 20mph but you will for sure know it’s there when you hit it, and then next time don’t hit it

Ik alot of people are recording with dedicated iPhones because of video quality. Same quality as top end camera equipment but a third of the cost.

Got a lot of suggestions here so take them if you like them or kick him to the curb. First suggestion have a laminated card on the types of hydraulic fluid that is suggested for that tractor by its manufacture the type of Grease you would like to use in the summertime and the type of Grease you'd like to use in the winter time and the model numbers to the filters whether it be fuel, hydraulic, or oil. Young people rhat are working these auto stores they don't know nothing what numbers that a computer tells them what to do because that's how they live their life they always want something to tell them what to do. They have NO common sense to realize oh I SOLD this guy the wrong part the last time I should probably remember these numbers like the old guys used to do .Second suggestion buy two years supply for each tractor if you're going to change out four filters a year then by 8 filters. But every year by a year supply of filters keep yourself supplied because we know 💩 happens supplies get scarce. And I'll be honest with you and today's world you probably should buy 5 years of supply. And "C" if you know a good fabricator maybe have a quick coupler fabricated so you can switch implements on tractors that don't have the same type of connection Something simple . I understand this all takes money but you can't make money if you're not well prepared but cowboying obstacles is not being prepared. Understandably when you're in a fix you do what you got to do but you made it sound like you've done the chain gang thing before. Change them up, cinch them down, ride on cowboy.😂🤠
