I think i found out something - notice the chime (and the refurbished colour?)... it has the same sound as the Thames Valley-refurbished elevators at Block 168A Queensway that got retired. Plus, Shaun Kong told me in the past, that this flats could have used British-branded elevators, and Marryat and Scott is one example. Another evidence would be that the lift *did not have any manufacturer decal* , just like Marryat and Scott lifts as well as those that got refurbished by Thames Valley

I would ask which year was this particular block constructed (1975). And there's also this photo: www.sgbuses.com/picture.php?/46703-blk34_chinatown_otis_freight/category/elevators I won't rule out the possibility that the original one may be M&S, but there is strong evidence suggesting Otis had a part to play at time of filming.

Indeed Otis had a part to play with these elevators. They maintained all these lifts. But I'm pretty sure the original lifts here are from M&S. Even the construction year is the same as those flats like Block 13 Holland Village. And plus, notice how similar the Otis elevators are to those that were replaced by IFE at Block 13 Holland Village? (eg. the interior)

You cannot be sure if even the original lift had no manufacturer decal asit could be possibly removed (if there was one) during the mod.

I am really sure the previous lifts were Marryat and Scott. Block 33, which is a MSCP beside this block, formerly had Marryat and Scott lifts, but were replaced by Fujitec in 2009/2010, according to Shaun Kong who saw those two elevators in the past. Hence another evidence that proves this lift used to be Marryat and Scott too.

very likely...cos all the passenger elevators in this building were also OTIS and seemed to be refurbished at the same time as the two freight ones

KONE refurbished them again... i went there a few days ago only to find out there were boring modern-day KONE elevators, plus there was security guarding the area so i could not film the lifts too

why, this lift isn't THAT old, and yet Ulift still wanted to LUP it. Most weird thing is that Ulift didn't LUP the passenger lifts. i am so frustrated

why? actually in the past me and my younger brother were so tempted to take this lift, but my mother and grandmother forced us not to take it as the lift doors look dangerous and may cause serious injury to one of us.
