“Suddenly you were gone from all the lives you left your mark upon” Rest In Peace Neil Peart

Only a real musician would understand how amazing that guitar section is on that song. Seeing it more isolated and even after all these years that awe feeling never leaves! Fantastic job, bro!👍🏾 As for Neil. Best rock drummer of our time, one of a kind, nice guy and he will be sorrily missed. Hope you and your family can be together now. RIP

Phenomenal job! Such a great deep track which Rush rarely played live because it was too depressing. Neil wrote the lyrics and dedicated the song to Le Studio tape operator Robbie Whelan, who was killed in a car crash. Neil had become very close to Robbie and was greatly affected by the loss. Sadly, the song's opening line - "suddenly you were gone, from all the lives you left your mark upon" - now applies to Neil. A profound loss. Rest peacefully, Professor.

Any advice on effects setting, reverb, chorus delay etc? Thx!! Love the cover!

I plug into a Boss Micro BR, I don't use an amp, I add chorus and some reverb with the effects built into the Micro BR

Did you learn these by ear? I go to tablatures online but I noticed you play some sections easier ( I’m guess like Alex would)
@Blobblob224 жыл бұрын
Rush have a video on youtube playing the song and I was able to pick stuff up from that, I also worked the rest out by ear
