lol I don’t think she knew he was gay when they got married? She thought she found a loving man who was waiting till marriage out of “fear of god”. She got duped. He used the marriage to save face so he can love men on the side while looking straight publicly. Which btw ofc makes her bitter asf unlike Clay, she doesn’t have anyone to hold her and tell her they love her. She gets no affection or love at all. Shes just waiting for the day for Clay to grow balls and end the marriage she realizes he will never look at her the way he looks at men. The clip in the beginning shows she desperately wanted the type of love the other couples had.

@@sumbunniii8721 true, but she did force their union knowing that he wasn’t ready to be in a relationship with her. That alone is enough. she set herself up to be unhappy. She emotionally manipulated a borderline alcoholic (who was keeping himself from becoming an alcoholic) into being an alcoholic. She didn’t later got mad at him for being an alcoholic, even though she knew this already.

It’s scary one of Clay’s biggest issues of many his alcoholism was indirectly started because her, and later when Oral is hurt a tiny part of it is partly her fault. The one good thing they both did together in their lives was creating Oral (though how I’m not sure how they did it) while the bad thing they did was to try and raise him (how Oral even made it to four I’ll never know).

Well ummm not excatly cuz their marrige is just full of desperation and doesn't exactly love each other. Plus they never got a divorce bcuz they wanted to keep a perfect image of the family and the girl that's shown in the video (Bloberta) all of her friends already got married, meanwhile she hasn't. So when she found the boy (Clay) in her friend's wedding she knew she just HAD to have him. Not because of love but instead desperation to fit in. And then Bloberta and Clay went to the wedding's party in resturant and Bloberta found out Clay doesn't drink and she finds that weird so she pushes him to drink after that Clay became an alcoholic and it is revealed he never wants to get married of course hearing that Bloberta gets furious and punches Clay and knocks him out, and was able to convince him to marry her. And now they have a very very toxic relationship. But still Bloberta is still sort of a victim cuz she is neglected by her family. So she trys to be usefull somehow to anybody, and that means to Clay and her family (AKA her children) so ye all she does is clean clean and clean everyday just to keep herself busy and usefull. But can never find true love...
