Thank you Kevin, the railways were a lot more interesting back then.

Great footage Dave, brought back my memories of Newton Abbot in the early '70s, full of activity with Class 42's and 52's handling holiday traffic!

Some lovely clips there Dave, screaming HST's and claggy 47's...2002 feels like about 4 years ago! Some nice editing too to make it all meld together into quarter of an hour's trip down a 'not so modern any more' memory lane.

Thank you Stu for your comment, you don't realise at the time, how significant the film will be in the years ahead. The driver of 47847 gave me a magnificent departure, clagging all the way...and a wave as he passed. Pleased you enjoyed the video, and many thanks once again.

Hi Dave. Great stuff my friend. I am a little confused by 7:37 being 2002? Probably just me. Cheers, Bob

Lovely film Dave. It's great to look back at the differences. All those class 47's, the liveries, where did those 18 years go? Cheers, Brian

Thank you for taking the time to comment Brian, and thank you for the compliment. Not the same on the railways now, not as interesting as it was back then. FGW always ran with complete matching sets, have to admire them for that.
