I’m crying 😢 from Nero , I lost my best friend in October because a power line fell on her and I beat myself up about it every day and when my other pony came in lame I just cried for ages because I couldn’t bare loosing any other best friend lucky he is ok and still with us but going through he pain and shock if ur best friend ur best friend being in pain breaks your heart

Kate Lewis, you have got to be the grandest rider I have ever seen. That cute black horse was bucking and acting wild on the course and you stayed on as if it was nothing - I am totally awestruck. Also, love that hood you have on your horse in the stall. I want to get one for my steed too. Keep up the wonderful work.

1. They are not fat. Clearly you don't have a clue about horse weight and what "fat" actually means. 2. I have three beautiful gypsy cobs, none of them are "fat". I may be wrong, but I think I have more experience and knowledge on when a horse is "fat".

I felt so motivated hearing about Nero. I have a gypsy cob and i love him to pieces but in 2017 i gave up on him. Ive always wanted to jump a large course with a cob and for an entire year we kept getting better and then going down hill again so i stopped competing and even stopped jumping all together because i believed we couldn't do it, i even got tempted to sell him and get a new cob but last year i saw so many people like you and nero competing cobs in 1.30+ and i knew we could do it. We can now clear a 1m fence with room to spare and im finally starting to see hope. Thank you💕

The story of you and Nero had me in tears. You guys look amazing together and are both such an inspiration. I know what it's like to one day go out and your best friend is down. Overnight my Bestfriend Tom went down with Laminitis. Vet said he showed signs of having it before and the previous owner lied to us. The amount he pushed through and fought for the next two years amazes me. But unfortunately he went down again and this time I had to make the call. I am so happy you didn't have to make that call with Nero, I am so happy to see his recovery and I wish both of you the most happiness and love in the future together

I honestly want to thank you for being such a responsible horse owner :) I know a lot of people who get rid of their horses when they can’t serve their purposes anymore, and it breaks my heart honestly. I can absolutly understand why someone would sell their horse when it just doesn’t ‘click’ between them, or when the horse would be happier with someone else. But what you do with Nero fills my heart with so much joy. My first pony got diagnosed with severe arthritis last year, according to the vets and the clinic it’s just dumb, bad luck. She’s still not too old and has never worked very hard in her life, so it really sucks to see her struggle sometimes, but I could never ever ever sell her, not after everything she’s done for me... Same as with you and Nero... I follow you for several years with him and I think everyone just sees the connection between you two! You’re the best owner he could’ve wished for, and I hope you can take him for many many years on beautiful hacks! :) Also, the best of luck with all your other horses, they look all wonderful!🤩

I actually cried when you started crying, it's amazing what a horse can do for you and I am not going to say much because I don't want to trigger anyone but I have been saved by my horse Bug twice now, I understand how it feels to think you are going to loose your best friend and honestly I would say it is the worst feeling in the world, I am so happy that he was not hurt to a point he could not heal and I am super happy that you can still ride him, his jumping years might be over but he is still here and still amazing, and to be honest, I think he is happier now. Keep riding and never give up on your horsey dreams. ♥ Sierra ♥

I cried at the Nero part. My lease horse got put down when she went to another barn. My mom found out that something was wrong with her and we were going to try to buy her and get her better. She got put down that day.

Nero has a similar background to my pony. My pony is also a gypsy cob and he’s actually owned by gypsies! He has been shot with a BB gun and has a scar on his pastern to prove it. He also has a scar in a zig-zag under his eye where we think he’s been beaten. He’s been in horse and hound for his hunting and is flying better than ever! I admire you for your decision with Neens. He is an awesome pony xx

Kate I cried with the one about neem ❤️ my pony Roo is suffering from cushions and she’s going to be 27 this year and she retired but she’s a hacking pony but mostly bareback and I owe everything to her because I suffer with mental illness and she’s brought my confident back after when I jumped my dapple cob and she fell onto her knees and fell over me and I quit riding for nearly 1 year ❤️a

As a girl who currently jumps 50 Cm and has never competed or owned a horse this is so inspiring 💚. I have wanted to be a top level showjumper, and this story has just made me want to more. 15:16 all she does is yawn, can also indicate her having an ulcer, not uncommon especially on jumpers cause the stomach lining is not protective for the entire stomach thus as they jump it can hit the sensitive parts and create sores/ulcers. Worth a google, an easy change if that is the case, would be to make sure shes fed hay before jumping as that soaks the stomach's content better than nothing. Im not a vet nor do I know if thats the case but.. frequent yawns are a common sight on horses with ulcers ♥ love
