Having played this game for analysis purposes, I concluded that it was a propaganda game deliberately created to "demonstrate" that non-violent protest is insufficient to create social change without a violent arm. The game does this by punishing you for not being violent. I've read the interview of the designers on an anarcho-communist online magazine. They were setting out with this game to argue political violence is justified. For what it's worth.

That's the games stated intent. It's on the box and not really anything that needed discovering. The first edition even shipped with a history book as well. But without violence we wouldn't have things like democracy, labour rights, voting for women, no slavery etc etc. The idea that only peaceful means achieve anything is a very modern fiction. No french or American revolutions, no suffrage movement, none of that. Violence is, and likely always will be, used to extend political ideas.

Fair, but people should at least be made aware of what the game is and who the creators are. Not everyone has seen the box or read up on the creators.

I state it in the video Michael, that it is a politically motivated game with a clear agenda. It's not exactly something being hidden or not mentioned. I just don't want my comments full of Q weirdness and other junk

Saying i don't want my comments full of q Junk doesn't equal a statement that everyone who doesn't like the game is Q. That's a false argument. I'm just weary of those folk turning up with their ridiculous points of view. The Berkut thought they were supporting Law and Order in 2014 as well. Heck, you look at all the examples of civil disorder where the police are on the wrong side of history, and its always Law and Order that's championed, even when the regime is oppressive. So that's not exactly a strong position. I'll cite our very own Springbok tour protests in 1981, where the cops were 100% on the side of supporting Apartheid in South Africa, while championing Law and Order. It's not a strong argument.

This a solo game as well, regardless of the number of factions you have to control.

I should have been more clear, there is no dedicated solo mode as such, just multi hand solo

Yep, but we rarely play that mode in the other versions and didn't for testing this one. So i just focused on the co-op mode

@@bezimeni2000 Well, yes and no. No it doesn't have a dedicated solo mode, as mentioned in the vid. But yes you can play it solo playing multiple factions. Which is also solo play.

3:27 Why do you say always playing with 4 faction. As in the rules there are setting to play with 3 or 2 faction only.

Keen but... Australia and NZ are in "rest of world" and the quoted shipping is FIFTY USD. Since they've used your video on their campaign, do you think they might listen to a plea for a specific Australia/NZ shipping arrangement?

Yeah, the shipping costs are berserk, they know this and are trying to find a solution. Especially as about 1/2 the comments on gamefound are from Aussies and Kiwis

So always play with four factions in even in multi-handed solo? That usually disappoints me in other games, but this game looks interesting. Two handed is fine, three handed is boarder line. With four I feel like I am spending more time figuring out the turns than enjoying the game.

Yes, but that is just a mulithand co-op mode, there are no dedicated rules for solo play or any automa or bot players asides from the cops.

@@3MBG I get the distinction but it sound like you can't play solo. And this you said in your video all the 4 factions are out but in fact you can play with 2 . Maybe that why to me setup with 2 factions is already a lighter version of the player mode to be played solo.

original game didn't convince my group. the gametime was faaaaaar too long and the hidden traitor mechanic was completely pointless and not fun. would you say that this version plays a bit faster and did they do something to turn it into a proper co-op game?

We didnt care much for that system either and never used it. The new version its 100% optional
