I would say they are working within the British punk genre here (whether it be post punk or pp revival etc) but that "out of sync" - ness only adds to their immediacy in my opinion.

Good times in the 2000s but the music got a lot better in the early 2010s. Artists that are top 40 today were making debuts. Twenty One Pilots and Tame Impala, to name a couple.

One of the better things of the time (among video game collectors, anyhow) is that retro video gaming wasn't a popular hobby from 2003 - 2007. People like me with obsessive and caring Dads went out to yard sales and got tons of "old games that are useless" (that was the mentality) for very little. I once bought 68 NES games and 3 SNES games for about $18 (which wasn't happening every day,) but it was a GOOD lot. Maniac Mansion, Super Mario 2 and 3, Megaman 2, 3, 4 and Lolo 1, 2, and 3 were in there. The real gem was Power Blade 2, though. Too bad I let a fortune fall through my fingers, but there you go.

@@OrphansCorpse As someone that truly loves hardcore, punk music, the singing is still raw and great. In live version, i will always prefer energy over making each tone perfect. In other live versions, the singer was singing like in studio version, so i don´t mind this at all.
