I love watching your reviews even though my feet are a much different shape. I do not fit the European Balance - there is too much rounding at the sides of the bunion for me and I have collapsible metatarsals. So, while I've tried them on in stores, I've never worn them. Like you, I have also noticed that the European Balance and the newer shoes built on the same last fit 0.5-1 size smaller in length to other Bloch shoes. Yours in the no x width don't look as bulky or short vamped as they look on many people who wear them - they look quite nice on you! Same with the Hannah, I thought it was a much deeper/bulkier shoe than it appears on you. On the European Balance, I do find that the shank breaks very low on lots of people, buying the strong shank and 3/4ing them as you did is probably the best work-around for that. Lastly, I love your re-use of old liners to take up space in your shoes. Doubling up on those liners probably also helps with any rough edges from where you've cut your shank too. I've been debating going up a width in my current shoe due to a bit of twisting but may have to use the liner trick if I do.

Thank you for watching my review! Yes it is amazing how different shoes fit different people. I think my feet require such a narrow width and are long so certain shoes look very different on me. Anyways, I am glad you enjoy my reviews!

Video came on my recommendation and I wasn't disappointed at all. I have been using Balance European in Triple strong shank. Off topic but I hope it'd be possible for you in the future to get a better audio set Hopefully 🙂

I am glad you enjoyed the video! Unfortunately when I record in the studio it can have an echo. But I feel it is best for visual purposes. ❤️

Indeed it’s a very pretty shoe! It’s not a necessarily an easy shoe to dance in though without experience. Surprising that people dislike it so much. 😧 why not consider changing the position of the elastic to be further back in order to raise it. The cris cross is lovely but it wouldn’t be a bad idea to add an elastic to lift. ☺️

Agreed. My main issue with the shoe is the heel fabric and cut. I think the box suites my foot but the heel cut is not ideal for me. I don’t cris cross my elastics... maybe you are referring to the ribbons? I have never been a fan of cris crossing elastics personally although it works well for some. Yes I agree that it may not be an easy shoe, but no pointe shoe is lol. I was surprised how many people complained about how “ unflattering” this shoe is but I personally thought it was quite flattering.

@@Kimberlykeepsdancing - its really unfortunate to have this issue about the achilles area! Especially when you have found a shoe that you like so much. I wonder if all the European balances would have the same issue or if it just happens to be these specific pairs. 🙈 This is the very part of the shoe that is gripping the heel! I wonder if making some kind of diy padding would help as well as loosening the pointe shoe string a little bit and then doing some some sort of hack so that the shoe will continue to stay on but without causing injury or damage to the Achilles area. I think this is such a good looking pointe shoe and why they call it European when it’s so much more American. I love this shoe... Do you feel that the inside wears out like it’s being said? Some have said fraying and balling up but I don’t know,if that has todo with putting them in barefoot instead of using tights...

@@CatsInHats-S.CrouchingTiger I definitely cannot add anything to the back of the shoe because I wear a very snug fit. I also often times just pull the drawstring right out lol. I have heard this model is available in stretch but called by another name but I haven’t looked into it yet.

@@Kimberlykeepsdancing - You’re thinking of the Bloch Eurostretch. Caveat for those who love the single sole this model features a split sole advantageous and comfortable for the demi-plié. I’ve got to say, sounds amazing and comfortable. The satin fabric contains elasticity fibers so I hear that if you put suede tips, the shoe will last longer in terms of not wearing out the satin but might be a very nice shoe for the foot. 😊

If you liked this shoe, you should try the Bloch Eurostretch! It's similar to this shoe but has amazing stretchy satin.

I definitely will! Thank you for the tip. I have actually been considering trying those but was hesitant because the were significantly more expensive. But if they are the same shoe I definitely should!

I wear a noX in the european balance and the eurostretch is way too wide for me. I'm wearing the elegance stretch pointes and they fit narrower (I wear 1x). The heel on the balance drives me crazy! A fitter told me it was supposed to elongate the line of the foot but I just snip the heels to prevent achilles pain.

@@emilybee6664 thank you for the info. I will check those out! Yes the European Balance are a hair to wide even in their narrowest so I definitely couldn’t have it any wider. I appreciate the tip!

I am wondering how you would like the Grace? Have you tried? I has "imbedded' padding, which you might not like, but it makes the 1x narrower. Really really hard shoe as well, just sligthly more tapered than Hannah. Fits -2.5US from my experience. You made me want to try the Hannah now...
@Kimberlykeepsdancing4 жыл бұрын
I have not tried the grace. I tried the jet stream which has a sewn in box liner but I knuckled one it quite a bit. I will check it out. Thank you!!!

Hii, can you tell me how the European Balance compare to the Mirella Whsiper? Which has a softer shank and what about the box size?
@Kimberlykeepsdancing15 сағат бұрын
Mirella whisper is pre arched and a very lightweight shoe. It is a go to for me when I have a very petite dancer who needs something softer. I have found the balance is a squarer box more suited for even toes while the whisper is slightly tapered. I hope that helps!

Can you tell me how the Eurobalance compare to the Amelie Pointe Shoe
@Kimberlykeepsdancing Жыл бұрын
Amelie is much more tapered and has a higher vamp.

@@Kimberlykeepsdancing Thank you. I think we have similar feet except I have longer toes. However, I am just getting back into dancing again and I am looking for a soft shank shoe. The European Balance is the best I have tried. I also like the Russian Pointe Ruiben but I don't like the sharp square edges on the box. I have spent so much money on shoes. I have been to professional fitter and fitter and still can't find the right shoe. Do you have any recommendations?
