I just had my first class in the Grace tonight. I began ballet in my early 30's and I'm 48 now. I took a couple years off during the pandemic which is when most companies rolled out new shoes. I've worn so many pointe shoes but could never make Bloch work for me until I tried the Grace. I was pleased to see that my platforms were evenly marked after class which means I was over my pointes even when I wasn't paying close attention. They hugged my arches which I never got in Grishkos. Now Grishko is Nikolay and I never got the feeling of balance on them I had with Grishko. The Graces weren't as pretty on my feet or quite as comfortable as my old Gaynors, but the new Gaynors are awful. I wouldn't be surprised if I end up wearing Grace for the next year or two. This may sound odd, but I think they are good for the adult foot which isn't as malleable as a teen's.

I actually think your feet look better in the Bloch Heritage. The Grace shoes look more bulky in the box. But I do understand you have to go with whatever fits best for your foot! I tried Bloch Heritage years ago during a pointe shoe fitting and they did not feel right for me at the time which was disappointing because everything about them on paper seems to be what I need for my high arched, wide metatarsal, diamond shaped, low profile, short toe Egyptian feet. It is really hard to find pointe shoes for the combination of wide metatarsals, high arch but short and Egyptian toes. I also have a hard time rolling through pointe shoes with a higher vamp (Grishko Novas were a close fit but vamp was too high to roll up in, and then once I was up on pointe I rolled too far over the box lol). I am currently in Russian Pointe Almaz and they are a close fit but I still have a hard time rolling up through them. The taper is perfect though and I do not roll over the box. I suspect the shank on the Heritage might be too soft for me though. I had that issue with Capezio Contemporas where I would roll over the box and bend too much in the arch even with a brand new shoe. I wish I could try Gaynors but they are so $$$ and I don't dance on pointe enough to justify spending that money. Thinking about going to a pointe shop and trying the Heritage again, maybe in a different size or harder shank. Appreciate your demonstration!

Hello! Have you tried european balance from Bloch? I usually use this model of pointe shoes (wide 3X), but I think I need a wider box with a higher box profile. I have a very wide feet in tapered shape, short toes and a dificult bunion in my right foot. Do you think that Grace pointe shoes could work for me? Please

You sound just like me foot-wise, and the Grace's have been wonderful for me.

How does the vamp height compare? The Grace looks similarly low to the Heritage but I may have been thrown off by the V vs. U and amount of drawstring pull. Is the amount of wing support similar?

Hello! I feel like the vamp of the Grace is higher and it comes up more on the wings. I personally feel like there was less wing support in the Heritage!

I actually use the heritage, but you make me want to give the grace a shot. Do they have different sizing? I noticed you’re a 2.5 x for heritage and a 2 x for grace

It’s always best to be fitted for them by a professional! Each style of pointe shoe is slightly different in size and shape! The box of the Grace is wider than the Heritage, so maybe that’s why I needed a smaller size?

I use Bloch Grace pointe shoes and they were my first pointe shoes and they were great, nice and soft for good role through I still rip the shank a bit a bend it to extinguish my arch but that's it when I break them in by hand. Overall, they are great for beginners and If your trying them out I think it'd be great! :)

Have you ever tried Gaynor Minden pointe shoes? I really want to try Gaynors because I tried Blochs and liked them but not a perfect fit for me.

I haven't tried Gaynor Minden pointe shoes but would definitely like to try them to see how they compare to Bloch's pointe shoes!

I have tried Gaynors and find them very comfortable and supportive for my strong and archy feet. For my foot type, shoes only last about a month but Gaynors lasted double or sometimes even triple that. I switched out of Gaynors because the shoes made in America were discontinued and I found the European Gaynors to be very different.
