Your hat with the tag on it reminded me of Minnie Pearl. HOWDY! I like a lot of things in my chocolate chip cookies but they are my husband’s faves so I do them as ordered because he will make them last for months. He is diabetic so one in an evening twice a week would be his limit.

Hat is super cute! Supplement protection with some great sunscreens. I apply liberally every morning. Next to peanut butter, chocolate chip is my favorite!

Chocolate chip cookies are a family favorite. Some members like it plain but I live it with pecans and coconut. Amazing. That's for the update. We have very fair grandkids and some redheads so we have been purchasing the hats for them for years. I may have to add them to the adults gift list this year.

You're adorable in that hat! My favorite chocolate chip cookie is the one I'm eating at the time! :) But seriously, I prefer just chocolate chips in my cookie, though I used to work with someone who would bring oatmeal cookies with chocolate chips, walnuts, and raisins into the office for birthday celebrations, and those were some mighty tasty cookies.

Hi Pat, I am happy for your Dr. release from your skin cancer.👏👍 I like the hat, it looks nice on you. I was surprised over the length of time for the swelling to go down, but considering how it was built it’s certainly understandable. I love the block and the scrap version too. I am going to get behind on the many projects, as I must get this 4 room disaster completely cleaned up! Yikes, I see a Huge purge coming. 😳😬🤬 🤣😆😂😅 I’ve been watching your tidy videos. Pat, I, like you, have had basal cell carcinoma. I have sun hats too. I've found that because of the large brim they tend to fly off in the breeze. I sewed in a tie on each side (shoe laces) that I tuck inside the hat until I need them. Your hat is very pretty. Suzanne

My husband had the same surgery you did last Monday and just had the stitches out this Monday. Had to glue some of the places after removing the stitches. Still puffy and will be for a long time the Dr. said. I think I have the same hat you are talking about with the cord in it and I do not like it either so use it for yard work because of the drawstring in it, because of windy day here, to tighten it around my head and that works good. You stay safe.

Hi Pat. I love your hat and also have a small head for hats. What I did, is use weather stripping, it is very narrow, and tucked into the rim of the hat, inside the hat. My hat had a slight fold I could tuck the weatherstripping into. It stays in place fairly well or you can use a bit of glue to keep it in place. Hope this helps

I'm not following you chocolate cookie block recipe today. I have been up since 3:45am. At 6:30 I set to making a quadruple batch of biscuits to make cinnamon rolls for my husband to share at work today. They were still warm heading out the door. He said the got lots of compliments and were impressed that I was up so early. That's what happens when sleep doesn't come. My mom is coming home today from a 2 month hospital stay. She was critically ill on admittance & was destined for palliative care for the duration of her stay. A week & a half later her kidneys & heart recovered a lot and she turned into a return to home or nursing home bound patient. They have a new case on the hospital ward so they are trying to move people out. I think she told the team of three Drs that she had no intention to go to a nursing home. She told them that she was suffering from the lack of personal medical care received during covid. Phone call appointments are not good care, the Dr does not see the patient for tell tale signs of failing health. The Drs agreed & started her in Geriatric Rehab. With some diet adjustments and physio therapy. She celebrated her 93 rd Birthday without family, just 3 room mates. I made her a new flannel nightgown, and packed in a carrot cake cupcake and delivered it to the hospital that day. All visitation to the her ward was stopped in early Jan'22. I'm sure she will be glad to be back home. She will have 2-3hour homecare visits per week. No more house work, bed changing & laundry. That might be her biggest adjustment. We will just tell her to embrace being pampered. I have the Sal from last winter to quilt yet along with some others, so I'm into in on this year's. I so needed that last year with the pandemic. Thank you Pat! ttfn!

Trust you to describe your surgery as "paisley"! LOLOL Soooo glad everything has worked out for you. My daughter had a spot removed from her cheek this past summer. It too was bacel cell carcinoma. But it wasn't as pretty as "paisley". No, it was fine!. That hat is wonderful. May I ask were you got it? I'd like to buy one for her and myself. I WISH I had the ability to blend colours and patterns. I get a patterned fabric, chicken out and go to an alternating solid colour. Wish I had someone around here who could say if two patterned fabrics worked well together. But alas, I'm alone on this frozen berg. Love everything you are doing, Pat. You and my morning coffee are the best way to start the day. Please take care (you've had a rough year) and bit hugs from Canada!!
