Not sure why the Sabres would want Ehlers.. never scored 30 goals, never gotten 65 points, currently makes $6mil, and he'd want a raise next season. This rumor is hogwash, no matter who the Sabres have to give up.

Levi & Kulich for Ehlers ?! As a Sabres fan theres not a chance in HELL that happens . Maybe Levi and Kulich for Kyle Connor but Ehlers, no chance! Levi and Kulich are the Sabres two top prospects who could both make the team this October.

@@Pixelplushockey Levi is probably the top goaltending prospect in the world right now. And Kulich is a possible 40 goal guy eventually.. Ehlers does NOT warrant anything close to that in return.

​​@@Kwinn819 jets don't need or would want Levi... -Hellebuyck is always up for vezina -Milic is only 21 and represented Canada WJC,became starter AHL last year and made team canada spenglar cup. -Divincentiis won OHL Goalie of the Year Sabers also have even though he's been shaky Ratzlaff who most likely will be U20s goalie along with Bjarnason. If a deal does happen it will be closer to deadline and I don't think it will be much a pick+ either Krebs/Strbak. *Krebs just like Benson and Savoie played for Winnipeg Ice WHL. The jets don't need fwds if anything a dman. They have Lambert,Chibrikov,Lucius,Barlow,Yager,Perfetti,Wagner,zhilkin,Salmonsson,Heinola,Julien. A player who I can see jets wanting trade this year is Iafallo NewYork native not because he's bad I'm sure they would even eat cap closer to deadline. But we have so much depth He played last year top 6 and later found himself 4th line but still ahead Perfetti/Toffoli. Only reason was on so called 4th line is organization likes Appleton. 27pts and +14

Levi and Kulich are 2 untouchables that are both possibly in the opening night lineup. I dont think this rumor has any legs to it, unless Quinn gets hurt again

The Sabres have missed 13 straight playoffs. I don't think they'll get much past a wild card spot this season, and still have a few holes to plug. Ehlers is a start.
