Ollie your work ethic is out of this world 👍🏻 I found your channel after a Plummer charged me $400 to clear my drain and left with my basement covered in excrement and two weeks later the drain was blocked again so I ended up renting a snake to do it myself 😒 I would have hired you any day and twice on Sunday you do such outstanding work Cheers

Compost heap in that drain.. oh wait.. drains!! You found a lot of things today that you weren't expecting. 3 pipes in one drain, and 2 in another nearby.. Broken grate covers aren't fun to work with either. Hoping you told them that they need to get new drain covers. Good compost for the old tree though. Good job, mates!!!

To help those who are having a hard time understanding, the guy on the camera is the Camera man, this guy does great at his job, which is really a one man job, also the question of maintaining the system, a couple weeks of rain and that grade on that lot is the culprit most likely, the tree area is above the drain, any water with sediment and leaves comes down the drive, hits the building and right to the drain it goes... happens quickly. Then it settles and the composting begins and within a month or two this is what you got. Job security for him, video security for you all...

I have "enjoyed" your videos a lot very interesting to watch. What has been the most crazy thinh you have found on those "adventures" apart from people paying for things they could avoid with a little attention to the drainages. I was in charge of a Theatre and we have a big blockage on our sewer line. After many hours I was at the office with our secretary and the theatre technician when the hero came and anounce "I'm done everything is clear now" Great, and what was it?" Well he lower his head and said: "I have never pulled out so many condoms in a line in my life ". I exploded laughing while those two were red as a chili...

Odd comments on this video. Lots of people not understanding both members of the team _have and know_ their respective roles. The circumstances that lead that much soil to build up are curious. Wonder if the location was on the market to be sold and the place was abandoned during the time.
@josephmckenna37205 жыл бұрын
Providence83 Based on the grade of that parking lot, it looks to me like those two drains pick up a lot of water and sediment, including the down spouts. Could be a lot of run off with dirt. I’ve seen this before, but it’s also possible the property maintenance hoses the paths down into it as well. Doesn’t look like it’s been maintained. That’s where you see a lot of that rich, fine, black dirt

They are low on basic equipments. Multiple plastic buckets would also help. Carrying one bucket is harder than two. A hole digger tool is more effective than a spade when the drainage is deep. Maybe the van is just too small for equipment for all situations.

Great video - I'm not a drain guy, but I just don't understand why the bottom 14" - 18" of the trap - below the the bottom of the lowest invert, isn't cleaned out of aggregate and sediment prior to placing the grate back on. I my mind, this would allow newly introduced aggregates and sediment to settle, while allowing organics to float, and be carried away by the flow downstream at the invert. Without doing this, it just seems that the system will immediately starts to fail again! Clearly annual clean-out and maintenance would/should be recommended! Thanks!
