I have to say mate this is the very first video I have seen you just throw the cutting tool to one side, usually your very partucular in your screwing them back onto their place on the hose holder. Not a drop in the pipe then just a more massive amount of roots. Great to watch a professional of more than 22 years at work.

man i really wish my company had your flushing set up. also, i do drainage primarily at the moment for a big plumbing company in vancouver canada, and i gotta say you are really good with that thing. It also helps that most of the places you go to have clean outs on the outside. Here in canada we're stupid and like clean outs on the inside, making flushing a clogged line impossible. But the flusher you have set up is top notch, we use pressure washers and trailer flushers which are far less convenient.

Here is a thought, you said that was the sea. If that really was the ocean it will have tides. That may be what is causing the drain to flow slow at times (besides the roots). Look how far the deposits go up the pipe. Much higher then we see it in this video. Also explains why the lower pipe is so clear, roots hate saltwater. I bet at times the sea side exit of that pipe is totally out of water, and at times its really got sea water pushing back up into it.

Drain gang awesome. The best part is seeing all these weird drains like this one. And then having to figure out where they go. I've never seen that reel get use that much almost the whole hose although it looks a little wobbly might need a tuneup.

What a beautiful view! Your videos are always interesting as they are all around Sydney showing all kinds of interesting places. I think this drain was done this way on purpose, as do don't want engine oil going out to the sea. I didn't see that side junction, maybe there's another pipe going out to the street or into the ground somewhere. Maybe the downpipe has an open connection to the ground at the other end.

Really wish that everything was oversized and clearly marked/layed out. I'm reminded of the beautiful condo complex two years ago - you started off clearing a flowerbox looking tank structure, then ended up in the service tunnels and parking garage below the complex. Straight lines, regularly spaced surface connections.
