Ollie, remember that tap water has salts and other material in it that makes it somewhat electrically conductive. Don't spray a stream anywhere near the primary 12,000 V lines. You will never know what hit you. Love to watch you work.

Keeping away from powerlines is allways a good idea, but then again 12kv arcs about 15cm at most and he sprays the water, he doesn't create a solid stream so the gaps between the droplets will add up to much much more than 15cm. Heavy rain and fog don't have any effect either. But yes, better safe than sorry. His jetter may be protect by jesus but I'd like Ollie to stay on earth for a bit longer.

I would not want to risk my life on the odds of there being more than one inch in a stream of conductive droplets between me and a virtually unlimited source of electric current while holding a metal rod soaked in water standing in a puddle...especially when you consider that the arc will behave like lightening, searching the stream for short paths and forming leaders of ionozation when it finds them. The path will unzip in a flash. I love Ollie's videos. There is not much left in the world that is honest and straight forward. I appreciate seeing him do his work well and with his understanding of how to achieve peace. I would miss him. DON'T SPRAY AT HIGH VOLTAGE POWER LINES.
