Ollie, great unblock & clean up. That guy was about to get on my last nerve, but you are extremely patient. And that lady was trying to tell you what to do! Good grief. Happy Father's Day, Ollie!

There was nothing wrong with him. And the lady had obviously not had the plumber explain the plug to her.

@@nicolad8822 He sounded awful pissed off to me. Even after he explained it three times she was still insisting the innards came out to the contrary..............

It is hard as she could also of had a similar plug before that did come out so is now confused as to why this one doesn't plus there did seem to be a bit of a language issue which made it harder, many people can speak English well for a day to day conversation but not know technical words correctly which seemed to be the issue here, but Ollie was very patent with her even if he did get in the van and scream once he had driven 50 yards down the road 😂

I said it before and I’ll say it again. Ollie goes above and beyond to fix advise and even humour a customers wife when she’s wrong. The extra time and effort goes a long way. Top job Ollie 👍👏

But what the lady was saying is that the centre plug used to come out, even if it wasnt supposed to! and underneath is a mess of hair and stuff, so the bath when full drains only slowly - everyone with long hair knows that below the official drain mechanism gets full of hair that then matts, when you know that crud is there, it isnt clean, and those particular customers are from a culture that cleans every crumb of dust from every cranny

Those drains are notorious for getting hair caught in them and clogging. I have one in my bathroom sink that used to get clogged with hair all the time and they are very hard to unclog unless I undid the u-bend underneath and removed the hairball. I make sure I don’t wash any long hairs down there anymore and I haven’t had a clog in years. The metal bit that the hair catches on is most definitely not removable. It’s just a shitty drain and I would never use one in my house if I was building or renovating.

Tbf it did look like it was still filling up with the plug open. Maybe just a crappy designed plug drain idk.
@trevorstevenson477211 ай бұрын
The bottom actually does come out on the popup drain, which you have to take out to clean hair attached to it. It comes out in one shot when it's new, but when the lower clicker part get old, it seizes in place, and just the top comes off. You just have to take needle nose pliers and remove the lower clicker unit. She's annoying as f, but she's right. Replace it. Keep up the great videos!
@prndownload11 ай бұрын
@@trevorstevenson4772 Yeah I don't know anything about that drain plug type and she wasn't good at explaining the problem herself but I was confident her reasons for being concerned were valid and required further investigation.
