Top stuff Ollie.. I don't want to blow my own trumpet, but since watching your videos I actually send about 1 gallon of boiling hot water down the kitchen sink, with loads of disinfectant, to help keep the drains clear. Also try not to put any fat down the sink! So one of a few million learning from your work.. Keep up the good work 👍

Chunky greasy porridge today. The customer needed a little larger service port for your regular size jetting hose make it easy for you Ollie. Awesome job Ollie and Baby Rat 🐀. If they have to pour their grease down the kitchen sink which you shouldn’t but if they do run hot water for 20 minutes and a dash of bleach while they’re at it should eat the grease to prevent disasters like this in the future. Again Awesome job thank you for sharing.

Job well done Oliver. That grease can be difficult to deal with at times. Just when you think you are through it, it all rushes downstream and plugs up again. I’ve even used my Ridgid K9-102+ to break up the chunks before flushing them out. Worst one I’ve done was at a small restaurant.

As a plumber it never ceases to amaze me how many people just dump grease down the drain and then they are susprised when there sink clogges. Snaking through a grease filled line is nasty and sinks .
@philhunt929714 сағат бұрын
With the state of their drains I'm going to guess their arteries are just as bad.
@LastKnight072714 сағат бұрын
I'm not even a plumber but I knew what happened when grease cooled so even as a kid I was told to pour it in a container to dispose of later. The only grease that goes down my drain is the residual that I didn't pour in the container, which is no more than a slight sheen on the pan.
@Goldfish_Vender12 сағат бұрын
I'm probably biased but I feel like its more deeply ingrained in Americans to not dump grease down the drain because everyone's grandmother would smack them for doing it.

It continues to amaze me how many people still pour grease down the sink. Whenever I have any kind of leftover grease from cooking, I always pour it into a tin can, freeze it, and once the can is full... throw it away.
@davidsmith-ih2kk10 сағат бұрын
My thoughts on this Oliver is, why the heck do people do this. I mean do they spend all the day tipping oil and liquid cooking grease down the sink. But where do they learn these culinary practices. The last thing I want to tip down any of my drains or toilet is liquefied fat and cooking oil. And occasionally I tip drano or the cheap alternative sodium hydroxide pellets or liquid down the drains. But maybe I speak from a privelaged life of knowing what not to tip down my drains. Hot liquid lard or other hot liquefied fats are a sure-fire way of clogging your drains. But then you would be out of some jobs Oliver. But I have never seen a drain so clogged with fat, not even outside restaurants or fish and chip shops. But each to their own I am just too stingy to pay for a professional drain cleaner such as yourself to unclogg my drains. So its copper sulphate tablets for the roots and sodium hydroxide mixed with aluminium pellets for the fats. Another great video Oliver, thank you for sharing part of your day with us again

I can only imagine the smell. About 30 years ago I'd have the task of cleaning the grease trap from the kitchen where I lived. We'd clean it every few months with a garbage bag and tongs scooping the grease off the top. They had this I guess because of the septic tank. There is another channel I've seen with lots of grease "blocked drain Korea". There is so much grease that they have a giant strainer they stick down there catching huge chunks coming out the size of tennis balls or larger. They pick them out occasionally with giant tongs (from memory) . They seem to do industrial kitchens as well as residential.

We have a dedicated jar that we dump grease in, never down the drain. When it is full, to the trash it goes. Surprises me how many people just dump that stuff in the drain. Only causes themselves headaches later.

It is impossible to keep everything clean 😅 you give up and learn to wash your hands. He makes this look easy but it's hard work. Carrying around a Mini reel all day takes its toll and is a lot heavier than he makes it look. Besides that..... Would you trust a clean plumber? He does an amazing job 👍
