I have a built in even feed foot on my pfaff and I almost always use it. It helps keep my quilt layers from sliding.

I'm late to this video, but glad it came up as a suggestion. I like both these instructors and have been planning a flannel quilt. This video had just the tips I needed to answer some of the questions circulating in my brain; namely, starching prior to cutting, using a walking foot (or lessening the pressure on the presser foot), stitch length, seam allowance width, and pressing. Now to find the time to cut and sew!

Mary so glad to watch your vids. I loved it when you could join your mom on the Fons and Porter show. This was a great video and Vanessa was a lovely guess. She is a natural on teaching/and talking on videos as are you. Love and Hugs.

One block consist of 2 each 2-1/2" strips sewen together, but I don't believe you give the measurement of the second block which is half square triangle. Please post the size of blocks required for the half square triangle.

Wish I found this video before cutting up and sewing my flannel fat quarter strips. The only good thing is my quilt will be all rectangles sewn staggered tsp no corners to meet up. Also, pressing seems completely pointless on flannel. I even used starch but didn’t help at all.
