Top tip, only do two strips of mortar for those trench blocks, making a full bed like that makes it hell to get them down, thats how us brickies do it. Back breakers arnt they?

The last vid. i watched(the concrete pour) i thought you were gonna lose the plot. Good to see that didn't happen. Onwards and upwards. three steps forward and 1 step back. Ground work is a nightmare. I day at a time. Later 👍

It would be worth trying to pick up a knackered wheel and tyre for the dumper, you might even be able to find someone in need of the tyre willing to swap theirs as a PX. Anything to minimise your losses. It was a pretty tired old dumper to be fair, that's the problem with this kind of machinery people only sell them when they are getting to the end of their lives.

Take the loader/dumper off and use it as a decorative commemorative plant-pot, because that is the part that really gave HumptyDumpty its name, remove the wheels to sell, turn the rest in for scrap.

Sell the wheels and tryes on the basis of a swap for the buyers' old ones, then the dumper keeps rolling.

there are ‘retarder additives’ that can be used to slow concrete setting, are you not requesting them in your mixes?
@dannymurphy17794 ай бұрын
Not meaning to sound rude but the bond does seem to be a little bit out out in places, even very experienced bricklayers do dry lay in these situations. Hopefully the fact you have good ground and steels too means it is not critical in this instance. Seen another brickie use these blocks and his were spot on, really crisp and a perfect fit. But perhaps his were more expensive? He was dry locking them and just lightly dressing the hole at the top which remained open. Like the other poster said he was doing two light strips on the bed plus a dab in the middle, about 50% muck less I would say.
