I initially got into fitness just to lose weight even when I found your channels and programs. It wasn't I stopped worrying about the results and started working out as a hobby and that I actually felt good about working out that I ACTUALLY saw results and not just on the scale. Now I don't care about the scale, I just want to get my sweat on. Thanks Cassey you made me love myself and my workouts, keep up the good work 😘

With the sleep thing idk why but when I went to sleep and woke up at decent times I noticed that I was less hungry throughout the day than I am when I don't get decent hours of sleep. And the second is really true too lol. I absolutely hate doing basic weight loss workouts such as jumping jacks and such. I started do dancing workouts to lose weight and it helps a lot and actually makes me want to workout everyday :)

For you guys who are afraid of needles, or getting your blood drawn, ask your doctor if you can lay down. Last time I went to get my blood drawn, I scared 3 nurses and a doctor since they all thought I was going to faint, but laying down while it happens helps out SO. MUCH.

Good idea. I hate needles so much too.

Another option is to ask them to use the butterfly - it's a much smaller needle. Takes longer but doesn't hurt AT ALL.
@linlupin8 жыл бұрын
Karen Chinnery I've never heard about that! O: Karen, you might've just saved my next blood test experience.
@user-tg8ri2de5x8 жыл бұрын
Jacklin Carter I'm in the process of working on eliminating my phobia of blood tests. I'm in pre-med and have to eliminate it if I have any hope of becoming a doctor. What has worked for me so far is working on identifying WHY I fear it so much, for me it was the fear of feeling it suck up my blood. I also recommend asking them to use a butterfly needle (they use it for babies) and laying down. I also use a method of EFT therapy, I suggest you go research it. Good luck

I have anorexia and I'm currently trying to recover, and it's hard, really, REALLY, hard, but I'm trying and that's a huge step for me. I'm trying to watch happy things like this, that tell me to just be happy and not excersice because I HAVE to. Right now, I need to do what makes me happy, and that obviously isn't starving myself no matter how much I say it is. As a diagnosed insomniac, I know the impact of sleep. But I also know that how many hours a person should sleep is very personal and various factors such as age, activity levels, where in the world you live, etc, etc play in - some people will simply require more sleep while others stay healthy on only 5-6 hrs of sleep. During my latest sleep therapy the doctors said that everything in their studies pointed to that sleep deprived people hold eight hours of sleep as their goal or golden standard, but once they're "cured" they end up anywhere between 6-9. It's the quality of sleep that matters rather than quantity. And don't stress about numbers, just make sure that YOUR body and mind are rested after a night's sleep and that you can tell the difference between having a rested body and just getting by - many actually can't because of routine.

I think #5 depends on the person. I was raised to always finish everything on your plate, which often lead to overeating if there was more than I needed on my plate. In my house, I serve everything on platters and the children have their mandatory vegetables served to them. That way everyone can eat as much as they want or as little without feeling like they have to finish food they're too full for. Plus the sharing his really pleasant.

theFitty standing up helps with digesting cause i read somewhere that food passes through easier. And standing burns more calories. Simply standing for an hour burns 50 calories. Also sitting when you are eat helps the fat store in your stomach because when you sit your stomach naturally sticks out

And stronger ankles. As a dancer it's so hard to have brittle ankles
@bilibili688 жыл бұрын
you can't really get stronger wrists since what hurts is your bones/cartilage touching each other. What helps is to build the muscles in your arms and shoulders and even hands. Then whenever you are putting weight on your wrists, consciously distribute that weight to your muscles. For example when doing a plank, think about squeezing your shoulders and all your arm muscles and your upper back and distributing the weight to all your fingers and your palm. That will take off some of the weight from your wrists. Same thing goes for your ankles- work your leg muscles and consciously squeeze them even when you don't necessarily have to!
@sebastianlugo57817 жыл бұрын
There are tiny muscles in your wrists and ankles, actually. For ankles, stretches and toe points should do the trick, and try walking more. For wrists (as an archer), I actually have a glove that builds resistance in the fingers and wrist. It forces your hand into a ball and you work against the little pulls to unclench your hand.

Aoife Lynch Maybe you eat too fast? I've heard that if you eat too fast, your brain can't acknowledge that food went in, so even though you ate, you don't feel like you ate. I don't know if this is true though, it's just something I read in a couple of magazines. :)

I am the opposite - I rarely get hungry, which is bad because I'm always craving to eat stuff :(

It could be any combination of things, but Eline mentioned quick eating which does contribute to lower satiety (feeling full). Try slowing down and chewing more purposefully. The stomach is lined with stretch receptors that tell it when it is full, but that signal takes a bit for it to be processed by the hypothalamus (of the brain). Also, the composition of the food can have a strong impact, as well. Aiming for protein rich, less carbohydrate rich foods can increase satiety. I hope I answered your question. If you are curious about my information, I'm a graduate student in nutrition and physiology, as well as a researcher at a medical school - we're learning about it! :)
