Cassey i'm in! I was (mostly) following the 28 day reset last year and I felt so amazing, my skin was great, i had so much energy, but then Christmas came around and it's actually crazy how eating so much chocolate and christmas baking has affected my energy levels, my skin, my mental wellbeing. So I need to get back on track with my diet and this challenge sounds like the perfect way to do so.

No need to give up milk when you can make your own almond milk, which tastes better, and is better for you. As an adult, you no longer need breast milk, and as a human, you have never needed milk from a cow.

Kyndra Lewis make suggestions to your parents. whichever parent does the grocery shopping for the household, ask if you can come along on the next trip. you can try out a simple recipe or anything. if they see that you are serious and show initiative, I'm most definitely sure they'd at least try .. just take baby steps

eat earlier so that you can cook your own food (or heat your meal prepped dinner). if that poses a problem (some parents / family can get offended), pretend that you are doing an evening activity and need the extra time (eg: studying, exercising, reading etc). hope it helps and good luck!

Can't afford it? You'd be really surprised how cheap it is to eat healthy...Whole grains, fruit, veg are surprisingly cheap, especially when bought in bulk. Packaged, processed, and "specialty" diet items are usually the ones that are spendy... good luck

I already knew I was allergic to gluten before the 28 day reset, but I have learned that I'm also lactose intolerant :)) I really love the 28 day reset since I feel so much more energetic and I feel more confident in my body! I kind of cheated and started early. After a single day of just the 28 Day Diet (without starting the PIIT28 yet) I've already noticed a change in my thinking towards eating. I now recognise eating as a way of refueling my body, instead of just as a way to reward myself or to pass time. When I think about what to eat, I have started thinking about how I'll feel afterwards, instead of simply how good it will taste and how much I'll enjoy eating it while I'm eating it. Mindful Eating is a life saver.

Hey Cassie! I am not quite ready to make each and every one of those adjustments, so I am gonna modify it a bit! Currently I am vegan and I don't drink, so I have that down pat easily. So what I will be doing with diet is to eat less gluten and increase my whole food intake! And I will make the commitment to work out 5 days a week. Baby steps!! I don't wanna push myself too hard right around midterms or else the stress and anxiety will kill me. Love yah!

This is literally EXACTLY what I need!!! I'm lactose intolerant, and even though I have and take those enzyme pills, they don't fix everything :/ (and these holidays have been sooooo dairy heavy) ugh I've just been feeling so AWFUL!!! This is so wonderful 💜 but I'm switching out a rule, I don't drink anyway, so I'm gonna have plain tea everyday instead :) If anyone needs someone to talk to through this, I'm open!!! I love making new friends :) just message me! (And as a starting point, I think I'm still around 290 lbs)

Hey there! first of all sorry for my english eheh Well, I have to say that some days I didn't actually eat really well. I have a lot of food allergies and it was difficult to eat only what this "diet" said :/ anyway! Eating less bread, pasta etc I saw some changes, Like my entire body was less bloated in just a few days! but I also noticed that I eated A LOT of fruits because I didn't know what kind of snacks or breakfast I could have, and I think that too many fruits or vegetables caused bloated too.I can say that I actually enjoyed it because I learnt some new recipes and I find out that even too much soy (soy milk, soy yogurts etc that I eat like substitute for diary) make me feel a little sick too. So it was a good experience in any case!

Agree with everything BUT Gluten? Really? I'm sorry but unless you are gluten-intolerant or sensitive to gluten, there is no need to cut out whole wheat pasta or a good bread. I'd rather advice people to cut out meat.

I totally agree that gluten is fine for most people, but she isn't saying to cut it out forever. In her PDF, she says add dairy and gluten back in slowly to see whether it does irritate you or not. Many people are sensitive to gluten and just deal with it because they think that feeling is normal. I think that's the point she is trying to make. Cutting out a food for 4 weeks and adding it back in slowly to see how it makes you feel is an excellent idea, because your body has time to get it out of your system and you can see what does/doesn't hurt you. Since it isn't a long term change, it won't be detrimental (especially since you still can get healthy grains from brown rice and oats - which is allowed in her PDF).

princesscaraful but some people may struggle to lose weight due to gluten (or other things mentioned) so the whole point of this challenge is to figure out what's stopping you from losing weight, what's making you feel bloated, what's making you not feel good in general

Elle Williams true however dieting, is usually a fad. When you make healthy eating a lifestyle choice, and are conscious of your decisions. There is so many benefits. Especially for young adults. Taking care of your body and being conscious of what you put in it, is necessary for people of all ages! I encourage younger people to start, taking care of themselves, by the time they are older it will already be a lifestyle, and it actually helps development.

I like the basic idea, but not the "it worked for me so it will work for anybody" approach. Everyone's body is different. Some people may not have a problem digesting (reasonable amounts of) gluten or dairy, but they may not react well to eggs or have a fructose intolerance. Eating more fruits and vegetables or more eggs than usual could make them feel worse instead of better.

I don't really agree with no gluten policy lol but you just try cutting out the dairy! vegan diet gives results and you can still eat pasta and gluten haha!

I'm doing something similar, but for The Rest Of My Life! My rules are: No sweets. No proccessed foods. No preservatives or artificial sweeteners. Every day, 8 glasses of water, and 6 or more servings of produce. Homemade versions of processed foods are okay. For example: Flour and eggs to make homemade pasta is allowed. Store bought pasta is not. Tomato sauce from scratch is allowed. Store bought tomato sauce is not. Foods like cheese and yogurt are allowed, but no preservatives. Yogurt must be flavored yourself. No refined grains. Brown rice and wheat flour is okay, but white is not. One exception: Starbucks and specialty coffees are allowed. 😏 That's because if you don't give in occasionally, you'll be more likely to give up. You should do this with me! Good luck! 🌸 😉

I need this! Between work and the in-laws living with us recently (who don't have great eating habits) I have not been eating like I want to. I had such good habits when I was living in Australia and now that I've moved back to the states it's been so hard. And at work everyone always brings bad food to have in the break room!! Is gluten-free pasta or white/brown rice (which is naturally gluten-free) ok? Also, I know you said no dairy, but greek/probiotic yogurt is great for digestion! I might cut out milk but keep the yogurt and cheese in moderation (which is a great source of protein).

Hi Cassey! I'm excited to try this regimen because I recently got the results of my food sensitivities test which includes dairy, wheat, yeast, cacao chocolate, and eggs. I love fresh fruit and veggies, but foods like cucumber, lettuce, pineapple, watermelon, and oranges also came up as causing slight inflammation. I'm having a hard time avoiding these foods because they are in almost everything!

I am starting PIIT28 on Jan 2 also and I'm going to stick to this diet except the gluten free part. I have done research on this and unless you have Celiac Disease and a true gluten sensitivity going gluten free can actually do more harm than good. Coffee w/out dairy milk is fine. You can substitute the creamer, the milk, etc. with almond milk(e. g. Silk, Califia, Blue Diamond, or Ajoyo) and an almondmilk creamer(e.g. Califia Farms Almondmilk Creamer).

+Caballerogurl there are lots of different types of non-dairy milks that taste just as great :) coconut milk, soy milk, almond milk, cashew milk, hemp milk, and oat milk. They taste even creamier than milk in my opinion and I haven't drank dairy milk in 3 years.

Jessie1Dx I don't think almond milk is considered process since you can actually just easily make it at home. It really depends on the brand so its important to take a look at the ingredients. I think she meant more as in packaged foods that have added chemical ingredients that we probably can't even pronounce. When I use coconut milk for curry, I usually make sure I buy the one that only has the coconut extract and water since other brands add preservatives and such. So dairy substitutes should be fine 😊

Definitely will be participating in this challenge :) I just recently found out that I'm lactose-intolerant, so I've already completely omitted dairy haha. When you mentioned that Asians are commonly lactose-intolerant, it made me feel better because I also am Asian.
