hehe, every time i listen to this it takes me to france back streets... and i must say, even is i dont understand sh** of what the lyric is, it sounds like he sings about life, for all of us... rich and poor... in the streets... even in the back streets.. but then again, i dont know.. but that fine :) greetings from Norway

I'm native french. This song is about a "weirdo/authist" (creep I guess?) that lived in village. The villagers burned his house and then he comes back to revenge (as "hypernight")...it's very abstract thought but your point on "creepy" remains valid imo

J'aime beaucoup... et le texte et la mélodie un peu lancinante et la voix... Découvert "Bertrand" pendant une superbe émission sur Gainsbourg et Bashung. Et cherché autre chose que des reprises... ça me fait aussi tellement penser à mon frangin ces 3 trucs là miraculeusement réunis avec une intelligence un peu.... hautaine ? présomptueuse ? non, sans rire, je goûte ! Why all these "comments" (?) in english only ? Are you so underground ? ça change de la merde ambiante.
