It's very central to the performance, therefore I think they can afford to give the bass much more headroom in occupying all the frequencies it naturally makes. Plus, if it's a rick, there's a possibility that he's using the dual output to run different settings for different frequencies.

@@misterx420 There was a big shift in feel when he left - it would probably be jarring to drop that wandering fuzzy sound into this newer more linear meditative material. Good excuse for a separate set though, like Boris is doing with the Amplifier Worship Service tour.

I arrived at the venue hours before the show even started and was allowed in as an art spectator for the photography displays, we hung around in the gallery areas, place was empty for hours and we got to meet Al upstairs in the green room! Awesome night. Will never forget it, thanks OM.

na dude if you would've seen this live you would know, Emils hands were bleeding he was adjusting tape in between songs, on his fingers. He blew me away I've never seen a drummer play so hard and heavy handed actually. It punctuated the slow nature of this music in a way that I never really could've expected.

Listening to Om is a spiritual experience and every one of those audience members hypnotically nodding their heads to the beat are truth seekers. They've taken a moment to break away from the overwhelming mainstream society of today and found mental/spiritual refuge in that venue that evening.

I was at this show. Killer. The past few years they've been playing some songs more slowly, particularly Thebes that night. Still so good. Incidentally, when OM finished, my wife and I caught the end of the Morbid Angel/Incantation show that was down the street, which was also killer

Wow! I am from a far different generation. I stumbled on this and gave it a listen. I wish I could make out the words to the vocals. I am a serious meditator, and I am now doing some meditation whilst listening to OM……only at considerably reduced volume levels. This is the most interesting (to me) new music I have heard in quite some time. Not the same old recycled musical ideas, and not pandering to an established market. Reminds me a lot of Bill Laswell’s collision music concept from the 90’s, exploratory and inventive!
