in regards to the "hip drop" i beleive its more about the defender positioning their body where they hold part of the attackers body stable while using their weight and/or reefing the other or another part of their body in an awkward/unnatural/dangerous direction. furthermore part of the problem is these "fad" names the nrl applies to what they are seeing.... ie, chicken wing, crusher tackle, hip drop etc. it somewhats bottles actions which in reality are much broader

roosters went on that run last year and then had no backline for the rabbits game. Wasn't this the game where teddy got knocked out early and then they also lost tupou to an injury while manu was already out. They both had 2 tries each before half time, therefore, before the backline had 1/4 players remaining with the 1 playing out of his normal position.

As a cowboys fan this is exactly what we did 2 years ago. No shoulders in tackles, all arms. Our bench rotation is absolutely baffling. I'd move Chester out and bring Hampton in if Payton wants a smaller body with heaps of energy in the middle. He at least always goes hard af. Pretty much lost all our big middles through injury/suspension and moving on. It hurts but I think we look way overtrained. Knights can really flog us this week if we turn up like that and nothing changes. Love ya boys

I can’t get over how many people are saying “what a performance by the knights”. They made 12 errors, gave away 9 penalties, missed 3 conversions and lost by 1 point simply because the opposition played almost as bad as they did. 9 times out of 10 they lose by 30+ playing like that.

The first half they played great and I believe the Panthers made errors due to Knights defensive pressure. Knights absolutely shit the bed the second half, they should have won that game. Don't know what happened in the sheds at half time but it ain't it.
