BEAKS BAG - do you think that the starting 13 numbers should reflect where players are playing? for e.g: 2 LW, 5 RW, 11 LBR, 12 RBR, 3 LC, 4 RC Certain coaches constantly name players in one position & they’ll play in another position. When gambling companies have such a big investment/ partnership in the game - it seems fair to the punters, that the numbers reflect their position on the field. You could load up on a multi & then the LW starts the game at RC. So that players not targeting the same defenders. Fair enough if there’s mid game injuries & players have to move positions. At least they’ll have a chance to score in their normal position. Appose to playing the full 80mins in another spot on the field.

Cowboys Don't need Bateman. We have Shibasaki and a few young lads in Kira and Lahrs coming through who will be household NRL names before 2028. We should be looking to target an Outside back and honestly Tom Opacic would be a good depth Cheapie for 1 year. Has his NQLD connection and isn't a dead play. Even if Luki and Nanai both play Origin/injuries to 1, we have Lawton and Kai O'donnel to cover that spot. We need outside backs, not Forwards. Sounds very Marty Tauapu to cowboys even though the only truth to that was Marty manager being rejected every time.

Miss me with the nicho hynes segment. Most weeks we get told how great a bloke he is and how the criticism of him is unfair and how he was apparently injured in finals. Yes, the comments about things outside his football ability are unfair and unnecessary. But criticism re: his football ability is certainly warranted. He did miss that tackle in origin at a crucial time. He did incur the 7 tackle set that gave qld field position to score (prior to suiallii getting sent off). He took years to engineer a win against a top 8 team in clubland. He took years to be part of a finals win. He was a spot in defence when he made kangaroos and was directly responsible for at least one try through the middle. Mitchell Pearce summed him up well when he observed that nicho is simply a good space player - and without the space that he is afforded against mediocre teams at clubland he struggles. That does not mean he’s not good. It just means that when discussing him balance is warranted - He is not a top 5 half.

Hadn't really thought it like that, but it's kinda true. I'd like to see him play Fullback for the Sharks, because I don't think HB is his best position and in Fullback he'll have much more opportunities to find that space he needs.

“I chuckle sometimes when I see… not critical sharks fans because that’s reasonable. They are allowed to have their opinion. But when I see OVER critical fans about Hynes. Think about how far you’ve come as a club.” We never said you can’t criticise his footy matter of fact we said it’s fair to critique his footy. We specifically spoke about people that take it too far & how that vitriol doesn’t really match up with the fact that the club has come so far. Definitely seems like a sore spot for you bro as it kind of looks like you’ve misheard what I said. Hopefully he kills it next year. Just to ad I also said “There’s a very real conversation about whether Hynes is a better 1, 6 or 7”

Dce and Hunt escape criticism because they are qlders, NSW players are always more scrutinised. They Didn't make finals for 3 years and 5 years, respectively, not a word. Imagine if moses missed 3 straight years of finals, he would be crucified. If Cleary missed 1 year he would be murdered. Qlders, all good.

Every single week these guys take the propaganda ball and run with it on the wests tigers. None of these guys are so media illiterate to know that this is a complete fabrication from a disgruntled director who's been removed. Wests magpies own the club and fund balmains district. Denan and his Co hosts should have a bit more substance about them rather than revelling in obvious slander

Boys the arguments as to why it’s such a bad idea far far outweigh the good but I think people like myself are more worried about the how, and them doing it the right way for it to be successful. and a lot has to do with the lack of care and shits the NRL has given to PNG for years dropping the ball in 2015 when the Hunters won Qcup. If they really gave any shits at all there’d be more than 4-5 PNG NRL players the fact there’s not more shows how badly the NRL have been developing any form of pathways. Not to mention how many of those people could afford a membership how many could afford a $150 jersey and economy to generate money off merchandise ect or ticket sales?? Boys they do not even have a junior competition nothing at all the senior players and coaches in PNG have said it won’t work. If they’d done the work 8-9 years ago they would be ready and I’d be all for it but the fact they’re going in for the money willing to rush it and fail for years is alarming. Also it’s disappointing why they wouldn’t just call it say PNG Pasifika and actually focus on Samoa Tonga Fiji. Play them out of Wellington so players would be willing to fully buy in and move their play half your home games in PNG. And then you also tap into the Islander and Maori NZ community aswell as a second NZ team which eventually you push for a South Island NZ team. But I find it wild the NRL think throwing enough money at it eat shit and eventually it’ll pay off going in with absolutely zero infastructure pathways or developmental systems at all outside PNG senior comp & Hunters. Because if they even bothered to put some money into the Hunters we would have at least 20-30 PNG born players running around the NRL not against it, just hoping they do it the right way.

Neither should it be forgotten when considering the large number of people against the PNG team that, while rugby league is the national sport of PNG, whinging is the national sport of Australia. (You can take the English out of England, but you can't take......)
