This was awesome chur bo 🤙🏽 Doing him n his whanau proud congrats bro mean mahi. well done Kempy for finally getting him on couldn’t agree more on the two cultures and the recognition of it. Its unreal when you hear how coops billy n cam break teams down and the footy brain of the media Goat Matty Johns is right up there with many seniors good to see him getting the recognition of his work off the field

Love you brother Cheese but for you to say Māori don’t really face racism in NZ is a little off the mark. I’m not sure if you meant to say it like that, but I just wanna clarify this for people who may have misunderstood him. We experience that shit all the time whether it be systemic racism or our mainstream teachers, the police, shopkeepers, internet trolls and old people who are openly racist for no reason. It’s the same here as it is in Australia, it’s just that the racist people here in NZ don’t have the balls to be as openly racist as the racists in Aussie because here they’re more likely to come across someone who will openly spark them in the jaw (me). We definitely have to deal with racism, especially us Māori/Islanders with darker complexions. Anyway I’m glad this podcast popped up in my recommendation, gonna binge watch a whole lot of these over the next couply days. Shoutout from Auckland, NZ. 💯✌🏽
