I have etymotics,KZ and RHA.I bought the blon bl-03 about a month or so ago and they haven't been out my ears.The bass detail is amazing.

They hold up suprisingly well even now, just hard to reccomend if you don't have a bunch of tips and wires lying around. With the stock tips they do not sound good, it was like i was listening to a different set when i found the right pair.

Great review! I though I was going crazy thinking these earbuds were way too piercing in the high ends and had little bass. I changed the earbuds to the smallest size and they sounded much better with no more piercing high ends and great bass. Gonna try the RHA ear tips soon. Thanks!

Like the review, more easy and Les hype as the main streamer dudes. But with a clear and good description of the bl-03 They are my prefferd for a lot of kinds of music, but on lower end sources ( phone fiio m5 dap ) they will struggle with some more complicated kinds of music. They will start to loose detail in base and really in mids. Adding a stronger amp will give the bl-03 more detail and seperation and you will be disappointed when using on your phone again.

@@giladkingsley I didn't see any reason to change the cable other then if you want a better feeling cable and one that doesn't twist and tangle as easily. As for tips, I did change to RHA dual density tips and found that they fit better and offered slight improvement in sound, maybe a slight improvement in soundstage and treble control but thankfully they didn't make it sound worse.

David Super Review, thanx very helpful. After watching I ordered one, and they are really Wooow… my first IEM's. I was always a bit afraid to buy something expensive which I might regret later when it hurts in my ears or something, but as you mentioned, some experiments with the tips will take these small devices to another level! @@TheHonestAudiophile Just an update: they're really good and I'm happy. I'm new to headphones, I had the KZ ZS10s before and thought they were really good. But WOW. The BL03s are really heavy and sturdy, much smaller and more comfortable to wear. Even though everyone was complaining about the tips and the cable, I'm pretty content. The cable feels really soft, I like it. The tips are okay. Thanks again! :)

@@TheHonestAudiophile Well after having a good listen back and forth between the zsn pro and the blon 03's, can hands down say that I prefer the zsn's, I can see why people do like them as they do have a laid back warmer sound, but dynamics and separation the zsn's are on a different level, with 2.4k and 4.8k reduced by about 2.5db they are spot on for me, I suppose it goes to show how sound is really a personal preference, still got the cca csn to try though 👍.

Thoroughly enjoyed this review! No no sense, but basic info we need to make a purchase or not. What i like most is u spending extra time discussing eartips for the BLON-03. What works and what does not regarding treble and bass....I think eartips are often forgotten how best to pair them w them w any IEM to bring out the best sou d characteristics. Your point on eartip bore sizes is often glossed over by other reviewers, who debate on foam vs silicone vs multi flange, etc....great points u made! 👍🏻 Can u pls confirm WHICH eartip brands u used? Glad I found your channel. Almost bought the CCA C12 but I will now purchase these. My main gripe with the CCAs (I got the CA4) was that they lacked soundstage and depth and your video on the C12 is consistent with my experience with the CA4. It appears that you’re happy with the soundstage and depth on these, and I’m certain they will be good enough to my ears. I’m sure the fact that they are 32ohm helps in that department. I will also look into the RHA silicon tips. Thanks for the video!

Very musical and brought back the soundstage and a little bit of the depth I was looking for. I think I’m going to keep these at home for enjoying music, and use the CCA CA4s for work. Thank you for the video! It was really helpful and I’m glad I bought these instead of the C12s.

Great review. I love my Blon-03's. Had Tin T3 and T2 (not pro) and returned them. I did get a different cable only because the original one was always getting tangled. I also have the KZ ZS10 pro which I like but the think the Blon's are a tad better. Both are amazing for the $$$$.

I got them after sennheiser 5.00 and they have cleaner sound, but I do fell like due to their mid-high being little bit toned down they make stuff like electric guitar sounds little bit flat in comparison to 5.00

Some chance of another review about another Blon-03 ? This time with another color, the brown ones. Some guys are saying about another tuning in differents blon's lots or color. Actually people are saying different batches sounds different, the colour of the bag will tell what batch you are getting. The newer batches have a bag with darker shade of brown and they are said to not sound as good. Most KZbin reviewers got the first batch which sounds the best.

Headphones: Rode NTH-100, HarmonicDyne Athena, Aune AR5000 IEM: 7hz Timeless, iKKo OH10s, Tin Hifi P1 Max, Moondrop Kato Keep in mind, the planar IEM and the over ear headphones will sound best with a more powerful source not just a simple USB dongle or phone 3.5mm jack.

I would think the LG V30 would easily push them. I use a Note10+ with a Razer usb-c dongle and it sounds great. The difference in Blon 03 and Blon BL-03 is just a typo. I haven't heard the KZ XS10 Pro just the ZSN Pro and the Blon beats them easily.

You would need a 2 pin cable that terminates into a 4.4mm. I didn't try the Blon as balanced but it should sound great on the Zen DAC. Or you can get a 4.4mm to 2.5mm adapter and a 2pin cable to 2.5mm. Thank you for the kind and supportive words, very much appreciated.

Haven't heard the FA1. The FH1s has more linear bass and better extension in the treble and has better resolution throughout. The FH1S sounds leaner but more detailed.

Great Review again! I got them and it,s absolutely true. You have to find the right tips. With my foam tips (inairs) they are too far on the Bass side. I like them even more with one of the Stock tips which are not good either. Maybe I will search and try but damn I got so many tips, that could be Hard work. I absolutely agree with your P1 review too. I think at the Moment you are the Best Reviewer for Headphones and IEM,s. I personally don't believe that an IEM can replace an over ear headphone or vice versa. I think they serve different purposes. I think comparing an IEM to an over-ear headphone is like comparing an apple to a lemon or a Corvette to a Peterbilt.

IEM and over ears compliment each other and fill different roles. I own several of each. I have only heard the 660s a few times at audio meets and thought they were a solid headphone but I need more time before giving impressions and comparisons. Only you can decide if you want two types of gear, I can't answer that for you.

Blonz down!! I just purchased the blon bl03s, went thru my eartip/ fit drill of every iem i own...cca/ cra/ tinhifi 3 plus to name some iems ii ave...got the fit down and inserted the blonz, didnt like what i was hearing, its like blon audio , had the tuning of, little bit of bass, no/ im texting no mid range, anda treble that was lackin..Was gonna send em back, but i thought of a fix to any one who eas aving thr fit of the bl03s really affect the sound inna bad way...switched the left iem to my right ear, like stem style earbuds/ cable down.iems, switched the cable backwards to keep the balance on point...im.texting anyone, that doin the blons, in a cable down, stem style fit, will blow the roof off thoze iems..im.keeping and luving my bl03s now...bought the whole sound spectrum together, and , even if ur good with ur cable over ear fit...give it a try if ya get bored. It works fantastic for my listens...Blons down..Oh yeaaahh..nice review THA. ..peace

Sorry to hear that. I'd recommend you buy another BL03. The Tin Hifi T3 Plus has similar bass but the mids are more forward. The TFZ No.3 has more bass but has less treble extension.

This is one hell of iem.. the sound is musical, engaging, organic, with very good tonality and timbre.. AND this put many other more expensive iem to shame.. But changing the cable and tips are mandatory, to get the best sound out of it..

Hi there, using these and a pair of 45ohm etymotics with an Iphone SE + Apple lightning to 3.5mm adapter. Should the source be enough to drive them and get great sound or should I look for another source like the much praised quad dac LG V series phones or Fiio audio player?

I am sorry I have no experience with Apple products. The Blon are easy to drive and should be able to be driven with just about any portable device. I use dongles, xDuoo Link and Nextdrive Spectra X, because my Samsung Note 10 Plus doesn't have a headphone jack. I recommend the Sony NW-A105 WALKMAN for a DAP, have no experience with any Fiio DAP.

I actually have a mixed feelings about these. I like actually shocked how good vocals are present here, it's forward,airy and full of richness at least most of the time. These don't have treble extension at least on paper but still these are a bit too shiny for me. I can't listen to these for longer periods of time as these completely lacks bass body ( the quantity is present but quality is not there). Some of the female vocals actually do shimmer and some instruments sounds completely blown out. Still it's a good purchase just because of vocals.

@naveen pandey I felt the exact same way as you described about these IEMs- great for vocals, treble has barely good extension, the bass is there but the quality is not up to the mark. These sounds so brightly colored too me in that sense. Glad to see I am not alone. After buying this IEM I decided not to buy any earphone in this price range any more.

These don't sound tiny it is just harsh but bearable. if yours sounds tinny than it must be a defective piece. i used to listen on hd 598 but i like these more than that (i don't need to use any extra accessory my phone is good enough). try switching the piece /cable or u can get the cheaper one blon bl01 those has better base and lesser harshness (comparatively). last but not the least u need to burn in these for longer period like 10-15 hours if u can . mine became better after i did a 20 hrs burn in.

Depends on the type of hurt you are experiencing. If you have ear hole pain, like it is too stretched, then try another tip or size tip. If you have ringing or pressure in the ears then lower your listening level. Hope this helps.

Difference is not that much between LG and Samsung. Sure LG is slightly better but not enough for someone to choose the phone over directly better competition just cos of that most likely. And if you care about portable audio you'll get player anyways that will actually be a notable difference. So you either don't care and go for the best phone, or simply go for DAP imo

Blon BL03 are very easy to drive and do not improve much/if at all sonically with a DAC and amplifier. You might hear a difference or you might now. If you are happy with how they sound then enjoy it as is unless you want to experiment.

When you say TRN T3 are you meaning the Tin Hifi T3? I haven't heard the TRN T3. The Tin Hifi T3 has a significant improvement in detail retrieval and resolution. The tone and timbre is more natural and accurate. The Blon has more body and weight but is not as defined and refined as the T3.
