The period between 1978 - 81 had a really strong UK music scene but Blondie pretty much dominated the charts at the time. 10 top ten singles - 5 of which were No.1 in the UK Charts. The only British bands that came close to that were The Police and The Jam. I know that nostalgia isn't what it used to be .... but those really were the days.

TheSmithDorian wow...i was aware for a while on how much Blondie charted during that period. here, it was a different story. i dont think any of the albums reached the top 5. except for the big four #1s, i think only 2 others reached the Top 40. they did well here, but were a small new wave fish in a pool still dominated by blues based rock monsters and/or adult contemporary. i was a kid but remember being BORED by everything except punk and new wave, whenever i had exposure to it.

I remember watching this live in 2013. A Blondie fan all my life, I couldn't miss it. Debbie Harry is without doubt the most stunning woman I've ever seen, even now older, she's beyond beautiful. But it's also her almost life long relationship with Chris which ensures they are so easy together on the sofa. Comfortable in each others company. I feel for Chris deeply. In recent years he's had huge personal and physical challenges that are so unfair for someone who's given such joy to millions through his song writing. In my school days, a very long time ago, my friends used to say I only liked the Blondie music because I was in love with Debbie Harry. That's only part true. To this day, I love the groups music, both the classic stuff and also Pollinator, the latest album. Long Time is a fantastic song. Stock Blondie. Thank you for sharing this. It's been great to watch it all again, especially the general public singing some of the classic songs.

No plastic surgery will ever make anyone more gorgeous then Debbie Harry in her hay day she was so so beautiful and totally all natural. They say if you want a face lift get it done in your early fifties as the elasticity starts to go in your face and that's what Debbie did. and it worked for her she sill looks great even at 76yrs of age and still touring and selling out arenas in 2021.
