I've seen many live performances of this, but none captures the energy, raw aggression and even playfulness, of the song the way this does...My absolute fav!

This is September, 1977 at the Whiskey a Go Go. It was part of a documentary filmed by John Cassavetes. This is after Gary Valentine left and before Nigel Harrison joined. Destri is playing bass.

For everyone saying this is not 1977 or where's Nigel. Nigel joined the band in 1978. The only year that Gary Valentine and Frank Infante were in the band together was 1977.
@stupiditytries9012 жыл бұрын
Seeing as it is from 1977, it's most likely before Nigel joined the band (Frank played bass IIRC).

it doesn’t matter if it was post-punk or new wave or just noisy & out of tune , anyway the band and Debbie seem high on something .The sixties were the search, the dream, the illusion perhaps of other unattainable The seventies cleaned any idea, project and search of a revolution ‘70 were the crash , the black, the heroin, the self destruction & death. Paradoxically, Blondie’s salvation was Moroder, who was a slick , he sold garbage pardon he was a hit producer making people believe that it was “music” and made millions
