I was a Blondie fan from the late 70s. I stopped following bands in the 1980s, being busy with school and career. When I heard "Maria", I assumed it was a Blondie hit from the 1980s, as it had the same youthful energy and attitude and everything else. I only very recently found out that Maria came out in 1999. I was pleasantly surprised and IMPRESSED that they can still rock with attitude in their 50s..

In an age now where performers have a nervous breakdown if their first single doesn't go straight in at number one and they measure their self worth by how far up Simon Cowells colon they can get it's so great to see the humility and self assurance of these four guys.

Standing Ovation!! What an incredible interview--inclusive, well thought out, and executed. Blondie is my favorite band of all-time, and Heart of Glass my favorite song of all-time--with Call Me, a pretty close second. Heart of Glass came out when I was a freshman in high school, and while I loved music for many years prior, no other song had, or has ever struck, or affected me with such intensity. I couldn't understand a word Debbie was singing, but didn't care, because her voice was so other-worldly beautiful. I still listen to their music daily! Thank you for posting this gem of an interview!!
