One of my fondest childhood memories is staying up all night during summer vacation to deathmatch friends in Blood (or any Build engine game of the time). This was the dial-up days, so you had to call each other's modems. Starting a new map meant ending the match and a re-dial. You had to silence the ringer or unplug the phone to not wake the parents. If you shot your opponent down to 1hp, he would fall to his knees and Tchernobog would bellow *FINISH HIM!* If he's quick, he could spam the spacebar to revive, with only a pitchfork, and the line _I live...again!_ Edit: One line missing here is "Anal Justice!" I remember, because the voice actor mispronounced it as "Annal Justice" 😁

in general it's slav heritage, not necessarily Russian, in Polish it's CZARNY BÓG which still is similar sounding to Tchernobog
