watched this on Tuesday at Shrewsbury it was AWESOME some of my classmates were crying at the end...but the main characters were slightly different like Eddie, Linda, Mrs Lyons, Maureen Nolan as The mom and Marti Pellow as the narrator...SIMPLY Beautiful play they came out like 5 times at the end and received a standing ovation👏🏼

Time for a movie. It would not take any of the live show's appeal or success away and it would be interesting to see the screenplay that Willy Russell has prepared on the screen. Kate Winslet or Catherine Zeta Jones would be great in the role of Mrs J.

Zeta Jones is way too glamorous and, although Winslet can certainly sing, the role really requires a mezzo-soprano. Why not go with one of the many wonderfully talented actresses already singing on the West End and use well-known faces for some of the other roles?

I saw two days ago and it was the best thing I've ever seen. I went with my mum and my cousin because I performed bits of it in school (Mickey's monologue, when Eddie and Mickey meet (I was Mickey) and I had to sing the end version of tell me it's not true) But I walked out of the theatre and desperately want to go again, it's a shame that it doesn't come often despite living where the whole play is set, it definitely made me look at the place that I live with more pride Funniest part was when the first backdrop was shown and my cousin went "That looks familiar" And we were just like "That's because you live there you idiot"
